The great thing about BBD is that he can play off the left of the three or as a striker. I think we might see him as the striker while Moore is out and Campbell is still coming back. If we ever do have a full quota to choose from, I'd like to see Hamer play centrally as the No.10 with O'Hare/Rak-Sakyi/Brooks on the right. The point is that we can rotate all of them as they can all play a variety of those forward positions.

He was threatening and scoring (albeit not as much) at Prem level. He could be a nightmare in this league. Quite a few of his goals for us seemed to come from him just steaming full pelt at the ball and twatting it in the net wherever he was. I liked that. If Hamer can tweek those shooting boots and find the net more often we won't even need to get in the box anymore

I was surprised to see he’s only 25 - his beard makes him look so much older. I’ve always thought of him as someone who’s goal-scoring record at Championship level has been a bit inconsistent, but in reality when he was playing games but not scoring many in the Championship for Blackburn 2018-20 he was only 19-21 years old, so hardly a concern that he wasn’t scoring hatfuls.

As it is, he should just be coming into his prime and there’s every chance he’ll continue to improve an already impressive record. To me £10m sounds reasonable, but if it’s a genuine option then if we conclude at the end of the season we want him but not at that price we could always decline the option, then maker a lower bid.
