Blew the chance to get our academy players real game time tonight.
Cardiff ffs.

Other than that though I'm not really bothered.

I agree, wilder told me privately that we really need a good cup run so the players play extra games, have a bigger chance of getting injured and tired so they can drop out of contention in the run in...

The idiots went and blew it by losing, so now the players have less chance of getting injured and burning out, they'll probably be fresh now for the remainder of the season, the bloody fools..

Wilder out......of the cup 😉

Is he the most useless cup manager in recent times?

Regardless of the result, that game was a decent run out for the likes of Oné, Blacker, Marsh and Baptiste, shame we ended up losing but at least it got them vital minutes on the pitch.

More importantly, now that we're out of the cup it's just 20 games left this season, 20 games to get automatic promotion over the line.

Lost RND last night, he’s starting to look a tad fragile.

Looks shot and no where near the player he was and or developing into pre injuries.

Sad to see how he's dropped off, granted playing out of position and hardly playing any 1st team football (so would be rusty), but in saying that I think he's ran his race with us unfortunately.

I personally liked him at LB / LWB pre injuries, but we should be looking to move him on (even more so next season, if we are promoted).

I agree sadly he looks a shadow of his former self pre injury

Yes, I appreciate the need to concentrate on the the league, but it’s still a very empty feeling not to be in the bag for the 4th round draw.

This for me, I’m a traditionalist. I want to be in the hat for the 4th round. Could’ve given the chance to youth and bench players a run out in further rounds.

No one staked a claim for first team football last night, when everyone on that pitch ought to have been vying for a fighting chance of first team football.

Poor him. It must be hard life for him watching football matches that don't conform to the standard he demands
It’s a weird stance some people have. That everything has to be “elite” best players most money best stadium. That any club has inferior playing squads or a bad couple of seasons are no longer worth a punt. When in reality it’s the fans that have always been there that make a club and community. Maybe that’s to hard to find on X or instagram…..bit sad really

Like you i am a traditionalist and remember the FA Cup with fondness, but its not what it was. We're not going to win it, we've got to what 5 semi finals in 30 years and Hull aside (for half time!) never looked like winning a game. There's not much money to be made from it, in comparison to the PL finances that can come our way should we go up.

Its a gamble not playing strongest team and hoping it pays off for the last 20 league games, but chances are we could have drawn Palace / West Ham away next round, no one wants to go and we get battered.

The thing last night showed is that the fringe players and lads coming through arent ready / good enough to be first team players at the minute, so that might help Wilder get a few players through the door who will boost the squad / 1st XI

They'd have had a better chance if individually they would have been part of the real first team instead of all forming an entire 'first team' of hopefuls!
But I don't think the circumstances allowed for anything else 🤔

Sheffield United were one of the original members of their beloved Premier league. We have more of a connection to the top flight than any random African could ever know about.

You’re probably right, but why Wilder at HT had to tell them to put more energy in to it is beyond me. They should’ve all been on it from the start, 100% energy, fight etc. that didn’t happen until first 15mins of second half then even that fizzled out. Poor.

As someone once said "if they're old enough, they're young enough".
