As the players were applauding the Blades fans after full time, Wilder noticed behind them that Watford's goalkeeper was being stretchered from the field.
He ordered all the players to turn around and direct their applause towards the goalie, to which they duly obliged. Great awareness and gesture by Wilder.

Ps:- who also noticed Larouci come to the 'aid' of his goalie and twisted his leg around, causing him even greater pain?!😫

great to hear. i hope it would have been the same with a 95th equaliser but something about chris tells me it would have been. top man.

Yeah, I saw that, made me wince. It was obvious on TV that it was either a tendon or bone injury but I think Larouci thought he'd got cramp and grabbed his foot and gave it a twist. 🙈

He'll probably be given a job with our Fitness and Conditioning Team after that. 🙄

Probably where he learned it from.

Whenever I hear Wilder being interviewed or see him on the touchline, he's always nothing but respectful to other teams and their staff and players. From what I've seen he's respected by his fellow managers and staff too. Real class act.

So, what I don't get is the constant abuse he gets from opposition fans in the View Froms. Baffles me as to what he's done to upset them all.

He's not from the generation of bland, media trained managers, who say pretty much the same thing in every interview. He has an opinion, he's from up north, that's enough for a lot of fans.

Wouldn't call it "great awareness" at all...it was the absolute minimum that Wilder and the lads should have done anyway.....being ultra critical it felt a bit uncomfortable our lads being so close to their keeper whilst applauding the fans.

dont think its just Wilder

Most managers are disliked by oppo fans, especially at game time

But they will hold a begrudging respect for the job he’s doing tho

The only opposition managers I’ve liked are

D. Wilson swfc 2000 - relegated
C. Turner swfc 2003 - relegated
A. Irvine swfc 2010 - relegated
D Moore swfc 2021 - relegated

It was only cramp till the predator got his healing hands on him
I had ankle fusion surgery few years back ( and was off work 7 months ) so all joking aside hope he makes a quick recovery

It's because every other team has a fan who also thinks Wednesday are Brilliant and should be back in the Premiership.
So when anybody visits Porktalk they get that impression of Wilder because according to Porktalk Wilder is Mardy, moaning, unsportsmanlike, not classy, obsessed manager who gets under their skin.

Last few interviews he seems to have gone a bit Northern David Brent from The Office.
