Dunne from QPR has looked good and scored against us
Seen QPR twice when working in London on mid week games. He is sometimes operated as a right back too. In more like the Gilchrist role.

He wasn’t particularly great in the games either. Don’t think he’s one for us if we go up.

6th highest average rating in the championship on sofascore too - all positions

Tanganga 7th

Not sure we need another CB now (unless Anel has another kid)

I'd still like us to take Dunne on a free in the summer though
I would take Tanganga in a second. Thought he was excellent when we played them.

I wanted us to sign him in summer. If there's money there should be able to pick him up cheap enough in January (if he wants to come).

Would be perfect for the 2nd half push, providing competition at rb and cover for cb for soutter, as we saw he's a unit and great at defending and attacking set pieces, also not the slowest for his size.

He has a lot if similarities with his namesake, Richard, who was a stalwart for the old Man City for all those years

Another one with an expiring contract is his team mate Ilias Chair. Unlikely we'll be interested but anyone who could help out in attacking midfield of his sort of quality and affordability should be considered. I'd also look at Dolan from Blackburn who's similar, even though he's had a poor goal return this season. Has a work rare like OHare's, but is quicker, would do well for us IMO

Not ITK but got info from someone who should know this is done. Won’t be tomorrow but start of window hopefully
I’ve seen El accounto has said two loan deals are (or were) done but then goes on to suggest the new owners could go a new and different direction.

Personally I can’t see why they would. With Des Taylor advising the new owners & working with United for the past few months unofficially I can’t see why there would be a difference of targets now.

If Wilder wants a certain player then go and get him. I can’t imagine the new owners know more about football than the managerial team.

There’s been a few subtle digs from El Accounto towards the new owners recently.

Maybe the 'new and different direction' suggested by the new owners is simply to get 2 loans AND purchase a couple or 3 players?

This is what I’m hoping. Going in a different direction to what is already in place would be strange. Unless Wilder had plan A (cheap option) plan B (expensive) but the prince always backed us with decent loan signings so I’d be surprised.

I thought when all your nonsense was exposed in the last window, you advised you'd leave the Forum?
Do we really have to put up with you for another window?
Guys, I cant even see him. Bang him on ignore. I can only see he's on here when people reply to him.

new direction could be looking abroad. Got to hope wilder considers this option in future

Wilder signed Berge.
In videos I saw Chris was a huge part of him picking us. Its always been an option.

There's nothing wrong with thinking a Scottish bloke might settle in better than a South American 20yr old, that's never lived or played abroad and can't speak a word of English. It's easy to say "look abroad" but it's not Fifa, there's a lot more than ability that goes into scouting I reckon.

Plus there’s a bunch of infrastructure which goes into helping players settle once they’ve been signed which I don’t think we’ve currently got. Most big clubs have multiple members of staff who’s job it is to to manager players day to day transitions of moving to the UK.

Just going on Wilders recent RS pre match interview,he does say he wants a couple with experience [don't know if he means old heads been there and done it types] or a player, players who know what the second half of the season pressures mean,Morton is young but he does have the experience and BBD has too.

I took notice of that too.
Also referenced players who have been through all of it before, which could mean previously promoted.
Would perhaps tie-in with the James Bree & Ashley Barnes rumours..

Of course he does. All head coaches will prioritise someone who can play now rather than the better long term interests of the club. Why would any head coach prefer the club to invest in someone who doesn't immediately improve the starting eleven if they'll be sacked 90% of the time when they might be able to?
