Does the train still stop pretty close to the ground? Going for my tickets Monday an my 4yr old wants to go on train.. Don't mind as it means daddy can have a few pints or 8!!

Yes. Get a train to New St then a local one to Aston. 5 min walk from there.

You need one that's headed for Four Oaks, Lichfield City or Lichfield Trent Valley.

Beware though, new St is still going through a significant remodeling, so if you know the station as was prepare to be confused.
