This is a definite "shit he's on a free in the summer we better remind them they were after him so we can try and get some money"

Might have missed our chance. See us losing out to a struggling PL clubGet him signed would definitely be a worthwhile investment
My mate at work is a season ticket holder at Posh. He spoke very highly of Harrison Burrows and was genuinely gutted when we signed him. He does not have the same opinion of this guy. “He can run really fast but he can’t play football…”
We signed Oli Burke for the same reasons, so this is definitely happeningMy mate at work is a season ticket holder at Posh. Yorkshire Post listing it as one of the January transfers "predicted by AI".Is there anywhere at all actually saying we're still interested or is it simply because Peterborough have said his price has gone up?
El Accounto claimed that we never were.Another goal and assist for the today 9 goals in 23 games overall this season are we still in for this lad with his contract running down.
Do you ever play him on the wing? Or is he an out and out striker? Right footed yeah?I am a Posh fan.
RJJ isn't a great finisher and doesn't have the greatest touch. He splits our fan base.
However, he is the quickest player I have ever seen at any level and improving his game.
He has a very high ceiling.
One thing is certain he is a nightmare for any goalkeeper/defender who dwells on the ball!
Yes, right footed.Do you ever play him on the wing? Or is he an out and out striker? Right footed yeah?
I know pace scares defences, but we're a fan base that's still a little scarred by the term. We actually need more speed and athleticism in our squad but a speed boat with no driver sounds like a mistake we've made a few times.Yes, right footed.
He has played on the wing in the past, but exclusively as out & out striker this season.
In a team who went a little more direct than us (think Southampton and we can be worse) and played the ball into the channel between centre back and full back he would cause mayhem. It is hard to exaggerate his pace.
Not advocating you sign him!I know pace scares defences, but we're a fan base that's still a little scarred by the term. We actually need more speed and athleticism in our squad but a speed boat with no driver sounds like a mistake we've made a few times.
Trouble is with pacey rough diamonds they need to be at a team that's built to break against teams. If his move is too big (us, Burnley, Leeds etc) teams sit back and don't allow pace in around the back. If we get promoted we'll sit/get beaten into going backwards, so pace is needed to stretch teams... but, if our last season in the Prem is anything to go by it just crushes players confidence and is a terrible place to learn your trade. Fanbases also have less patience with purchased players than they do their own.Not advocating you sign him!
If he leaves Posh he would be better off at a Club who could develop him off the bench playing to his strengths - he certainly is not yet ready to be "the main man" at a higher level
Always seem to be an emergency plan when we bring in pacey forwards, where we give them the ball and see what happens when they try to run 60 yards with it.I know pace scares defences, but we're a fan base that's still a little scarred by the term. You forget our record signing....Always seem to be an emergency plan when we bring in pacey forwards, where we give them the ball and see what happens when they try to run 60 yards with it.
Andy Campbell, Izale McLeod, Luton Shelton, Oliver Burke... It must be possible for us to sign one very pacey striker who has a bit more composure and touch and who fit in with the playing style? I.e. there must be a selection of fast strikers that are in the category between those mentioned and the likes of Owen and Mbappe?
Tony Agana was pacey and class. Lys Mousset first season.Always seem to be an emergency plan when we bring in pacey forwards, where we give them the ball and see what happens when they try to run 60 yards with it.

Brewster was never considered particularly pacey? You forget our record signing....

We had Oli Burke and apart from Man Utd’s defence (who my long dead nanna would probably get top side of) absolutely no one was scared of his pace. It was scarier to us fans who had to watch him every week.Exactly, not sure where this notion came from tbh.
As for Ricky-Jade Jones... What I do know is that even in the prem the scariest thing to come up against is blistering pace.. so even if his touch and finishing isn't the greatest I think he could do a certain job for us in terms of giving us an out.

I disagree on that, otherwise every PL team would have a cheap, quick forward in their squad just in case. Do you really think Van Dijk et al. Would change the way they play because Ricky Jade-Jones is stood on the halfway line?If it means they have to keep an extra defender back so as to not get caught on the break by someone pacey then it's +EV no matter who it is.
Dan James is having a good season at Leeds and previously he would have fell into the speedboat no driver category.Exactly, not sure where this notion came from tbh.
