Port Vale/ Swindon?How’s Liverpool’s buy-back clause looking?
To say it’s been a disaster of epic proportions for everyone is an understatement. 5 goals in 90 odd appearances. Campbell has already bettered that and cost nowt. £20 odd million and whatever else in wages and medical bills pissed away.
Probably serves us right for paying that based on potential and a good couple of months at Swansea. We were never in a position to do that.
We signed him as a future England star. I wonder where he’ll end up when we release him.
Probably a lack of depth was the only reason we kept himI said at the start of the season that he should have gone on loan to div 1or 2, with a view to bringing him back in January with some goals and more confidence.
And unfortunately we foolishly paid all our available gold (not his fault). He played plenty of games in that 1st season and he lacked basictactical knowledge, technical ability etc. I think this has been the worst case scenario outcome for him but I also think the Swansea stuff was fools gold
Well im one who still believes he will do well for us this season, at the moment i think he tries too hard and doesnt let it come naturally, once he gains some confidence the performances will come, wilder wouldnt persevere if the tools were not there , he must be showing it in training and as ive pinned my hopes to the mast i will rejoice when he finally comes good.
Great point…. Let’s not forget, we are a striker short because the Prince would not or could not fund it at the end of the August transfer window. There's always one as they say.
Wilder isn't persevering with Brewster, he's got absolutely no other choice...
He might be a popular figure in the Club but the lad is not a good footballer. The facts back that up......4 goals in 82 appearances.....
Someone will be along to suggest a pay as play arrangement in a minutelol. What would we have had when he leaves?
He needs a new start elsewhere. Because you’d have to be absolutely insane to offer him a new deal. Like.. smearing shit all over the walls level of insane.
Marsh should be infront of him. But Wilder in his infinite wisdom keeps on playing him or bringing him on, I guess he's still trying to convince himself of the price tag he paid for him, but let's face it Wilder's patience must be wearing thin now surely.Marsh could have been out on loan somewhere and should have been if he was this clearly behind Brewster
Did it get delivered first time or did the postman need 50 attempts to get it in the letter box??
He's our Jordan Ibe.
The difference is, unlike Bournemouth, we couldn't afford for him to be a flop.
I’d argue he’s had more patience from our fanbase than most.He is no better than Gribic who was universally criticised after a 6 month rotten spell.RB has give us no return in 5 years.Never ceases to amaze me how many of our fans are creaming themselves over one players failings.
The fact that One came on first shows how unready Brewster is to play, but hey, pile on anyway.
When can we judge him then ?He's getting his first minutes after injury, didn't have the best of games but today isn't the game to judge him imo
And for a club with our modest resources , those kind of decisions are why dem Bees are top half PL and we are not.And let’s not forget, even when he DOES do the basics of being able to control a ball and move it on, he NEVER looks like scoring, ever.
Holy shit, what an absolute nuclear bomb of a fuck up this signing was.
Talk about a fork in the road, Brentford signed Ivan Toney for £10m the same summer we bought this kid.
You’re taking the piss aren’t you? We can judge him for not being able to control a ball and making us worse than if we’d gone down to ten menHe's getting his first minutes after injury, didn't have the best of games but today isn't the game to judge him imo

Weren't we after Ollie Watkins at one stage as well ?
Plus the kind of luck that gets Hendo to smash JoC in training.
Sliding doors.
They were always proactive in the market and willing to take a chance on lower league talent at bigger prices. And for a club with our modest resources , those kind of decisions are why dem Bees are top half PL and we are not.
