I think
100% part time blade 's excellent post above should be the final word on this but since you ask here's what we do know:
- He kept quiet publicly
- He didn't resign from his patron post
He
may have said something privately to the club- we simply do not know. He could/could have clarified that at any time, indeed if he did it would have been in his best interests to make that clear during the Evans fiasco.
There are two possibilities to his reaction to the Marlon King signing;
- He was for it.
- He was against it.
If he was for it, that's very bad. If he was against it, its also bad that he chose not to speak out publicly against it.
Charlie Webster managed to speak out against the signing at the time. Its a pity that Heaton didn't do the same, as
100% part time blade says he probably regrets not doing so. Its never too late to do the right thing and acknowledge it- it would be good if he made one Tweet stating so but I'm not holding my breath!
