Wilder live from 1:15. You'll need to log in.

Will add others here as and when I stumble across them. Please add them if you see before me. UTB

I cant watch it at work, expect he holds his cards close to his chest in regards to fitness and injuries?

First observation was WIlder seemed tired. In his eyes, his voice, and the unshaven look. Obviously, hope he's going OK

Rob Staton was interviewing first. They talked about signings and the summer transfer window, the performances so far this season and the good start. Nothing new.

He said he's talked to the team about the finer details of what it takes to make sure our season is successful, and what could derail our season, including ill-discipline

CW said it'll be good to get clarity on ownership ("either way") as we build up to JTW. Said he likes to think we can do business in January. Mentioned we have 2 loan slots available, "which is good".

Talked about how the togetherness (used a different word, but I forget) of the group is important, so "We don't need 4,5,6, but we certainly need 2"

To Oxford:
Talked about his time there positively.

At this point we're about 15 mins in and I'm getting grumpy that Rob hasn't cut to the fucking chase. How are the injuries you Seattle Seahawks cap wearing cunt?!
And that was it from Rob. What a wank stain. Great insight there for the license fee

New interviewer now.
Moore and Brewster have been out on the grass, but he won't gamble. He'll have a look tomorrow morning and make a call based on that.
Boiled my piss. So if they don't make the squad, we have no idea how far away they are, because nobody has asked the direct question. I'm more than happy for Wilder to dodge answering a question, as he knows best whether to say something or not, but for Journos not to fucking ask the really specific question....

He talked about winning the Derby and enjoying the victory, and how we definitely should do that.

Asked about the takeover again and whether he has two JTW plans, one for if there is a takeover and one for if there isn't. He said no, he is planning for the current reality, where we will focus on the two loans. He has a position-specific focus to bolster the squad.

Said it's an important window and we need to maximise it. Talked about who he brought in the JTW in the last time he won promotion with us and the small but important contributions they made.

The stream then cut out mid-sentence and didn't come back.

So I've no idea whether JRS, Souza, Hamer are OK and whether Souttar has had a nice sleep, which is all I wanted to know

You are becoming the 'El Cappy-tain' of press conferences. Appreciated.

Local journos are worthless apart from sycophantic praise - they forget who their audience is and are content to be a PR vehicle for the club.

The hope, of course, is it was just a failure with the stream, and the important questions were asked and recorded for us to see/hear later

One thing I would like to know is whether CW feels there is any means of drawing official attention to the behaviour of Bassette which has obviously incensed everyone connected with our club.
Plus of course the injuries.
And why not say Souttar looked tired , is he OK?
And naturally enquire about limping Hamer , groin-rubbing Souza etc. Show concern !
Let CW avoid answering if he wants.

They’ve made the replay immediately available. You’ll need to log in

Just checked it. Current version linked above is 22m long and cuts out before it even did on the live stream 🤣

Wilder out! 😝

22 minutes of sound bites and nothingness

Nothing on his injury concern, just about getting him to the club and him being in form

"He worked extremely hard and he's been patient but there's definitely a talent there," is the current assessment of Tyrese Campbell from Chris Wilder.

Striker Campbell has scored four times in his last five games - including the winner in the recent Steel City derby - and was a focus in Monday's press conference to preview the midweek encounter with Oxford United.

Speaking of Campbell, who signed as a free transfer in the summer, boss Wilder added: "He was a player we were interested in a few years ago and we keep out eyes on those types of players as well.

"He was available on a free transfer and our remit at the start of the season was small fees, loans and frees so he fit in that category. We've shown him a bit of love, shown him a bit of direction but from my point of view, it's what we try and do, getting the best out of players. Every manager has to maximise that and get the best out of any single player and a group.

"I believe a lot of credit goes to the boy in terms of him getting his act together and getting himself fit, working away from the lights and doing what he needed to do because he wasn't in great shape physically. And I don't blame him for that because training on your own is difficult. He worked extremely hard and he's been patient but there's definitely a talent there."

o I've no idea whether JRS, Souza, Hamer are OK and whether Souttar has had a nice sleep,

Also, whether he's now woken up. I love the great big bugger to bits, and he's been 99.9% magnificent for us so far, but he did seem to be dozing his way through most of the game on Saturday.

Personally I think you might be looking into it a bit too much regarding how Wilder looks etc. He's regularly unshaven and his body language seemed fine to me. The takeover I'm sure will be causing annoyance but I go on what Wit says because he's actually got insight i to the club we don't have and he's said he doesn't think it will happen and I've long being a skeptic. There's taking a while and then there's this takeover plus previous failed attempts.

I still don't t think the takeover will necessarily be a good thing anyway, many takeovers go wrong as many as go right.

The pressure conferences split I to sections does my nut in too. Currently all there is is a two minute clip on Tyrese Campbell rather than any preview into the match. I really like Campbell but I'd like to hear some team news on tomorrow!

He pretty much always looks disheveled nowadays- totally agree with you, hope he's OK and I also hope he's keeping the booze to acceptable levels.

The main thing we always want to hear is accurate info about injuries- but I'm afraid that's long gone- 6.45pm tomorrow is only time you will get proper info on fitness.

Half of this press interview was meanderings on Oxford- pretty irrelevant stuff.

He’s also lost quite a bit of weight since he came back, weight loss can make a huge difference to how your face looks at a certain age.

He always looks a scruffy cnut who has spent the night pissed up in a ditch, somebody buy him a razor FFS
🤣 Savagery

Because I'm sad, I just had a look, and did a quick screen grab of the last few pre-match pressers, and it's only the last week (left-most two) where he's looked a bit 'off'

Sounded very much like our business will be limited to two loans in the transfer window, with 'hopefully' nobody leaving.
