Couple would get in on my bench but I wouldn’t start a single one of their players.

Beadle over Davies.
Bannan / Charles as more established cover for Peck
Either Musaba / Gassama for some pace
I’d have Faxon over Beadle. The goalkeeping Charles might push Faxon though.

I’ll give you S Charles, but he’s not theirs. Although if Tom Davies stays fit (a big if, I know) he doesn’t even get on our bench.

Musaba/Gassama = Speedboat, no driver. Bags of pace, very little end product. They always look a bit clueless to me.

First 11 picks itself.

The bench will be interesting and vital. I suspect..

Davies/Faxon
Seriki
RND
McCallum
Robinson
Shackleton
Brooks
One
Brewster/Moore

I've been to the sty twice this season with my grandson when his dad has been working. The first was v QPR and they were awful. The other was last Saturday v Watford where they were "ok" first half and taken to the cleaners in the second. they were undone by through balls between their centre backs and torn to bits down the Watford right wing (Max Lowe please).
I know that football's a "funny old game" but i don't see a cat in hell's chance for them if we are at it as Wilder would say. Rak Saki could be our match winner as they are so exposed in the full back positions.

Think most of the starting XI picks itself, big question is does Campbell, One or Brewster (supposedly just missed out midweek so should be back) start up front? O'Hare showed more promise on Tuesday than he has done recently, although the LW still remains a problem. I'd have put in Brookes but he seems to be low on confidence so maybe this isn't the match for him. Put Hamer centrally and let him have a pop from distance.

I'd go for:

That team, yes.

I agree we've looked better with 2 strikers but if he does that he'll play only 1 winger coz he wants the pressing & tackling of a 3rd midfielder to help Souza & Blaster
I think Brooks is good for this as defensively he is good. It's not like playing two JRS. Maybe due to him playing different positions.

With the possible exception of Campbell, I would say this is our strongest team especially with O’Hare and Hamer swapped over. Not only would it put arguably our best player (Hamer) front and centre, it could also improve O’Hares game drifting in from the left.

Maybe but I would want Brooks on the L side on his stronger foot if he's on with JRS on the R

I think for us it’s about how we lose it. We should have enough to keep them out. But barring fuck ups we should be strong enough defensively

You’re right about Rak-Sakyi being important but I don’t see him as the match winner, I see him as being a big player, but he’ll start the game and rip them apart (max Lowe et al)

Think the match winner will be Hamer or Souza, big game players…

Tight, typical derby game.

Drab for 87 minutes, the Burrows smashes one in from 25 yards.
