I'll go with Burrows with Souttar, his style is similar to Anel and he has played CB before.

Then Norrington-Davies at left back.

I think wilder has started this mentality that we should tinker with Burrows, I really don’t agree with it. He’s one of the best signings we’ve made and he’s an excellent left back, why don’t we just leave him at left back?

When deciding who to replace Anel at CB, I think first we should look if we have any replacement CBs, and it just so happens, last years player of the season and current captain of the club has been sitting on the bench!

Also, in my opinion McCallum is a much better left back than Norrington-Davies

My first thoughts are to use Robinson. If he has been on the bench recently, it means that Wilder trusts him!
If not, Wilder might want to tinker.
At least with Robbo, you know what you get.

JLT might be a step down in quality but he's our third choice CB. He's also been our best player many times in the last couple of years so it'd be harsh to completely freeze him out now.

Burrows should always play left back. Robinson for me although wouldn’t mind bringing gilchrist across and having seriki at full back.

It would be quite the snub if Wilder doesn't slot Robinson in (if fully fit). Otherwise, why is he here?

People need to get over the QPR game. It was a poor display from Robbo but that's what you get from him sometimes. Generally he's just "fine" in that position at this level.

If Robbo ends up being our "Martin Cranie" this season, I'm fine with that if he plays 5-6 games when needed

Robbo is much much better than Fine ..IMO

JLT to come in. He was easily our strongest defender last year, doesn't mean much but I trust him at this level.

He is also club captain and question would be raised, if not now then when!

RND would be the other option but hasn't looked up to match fitness yet this season.

Robbo all day .
He's a stopper with a long throw , he might lack finesse but can't fault his attitude and commitment.
Be nice if he can lob a few missiles for soutter and Moore to attack too.

Get Robbo in. We have a no-nonsense defensive style with this back four, which he should slot into nicely. He will want to prove a point as well, make sure we’ve not forgotten about him.

Robbo in for the suspended Anel. Robbo never lets the team down His long throw in come in handy as well.

I agree, he's got to come in. He'll definitely be under scrutiny though and needs to put in a solid, error free performance.

It has to be Robbo, none of this moving the likes of Gilchrist or Burrows or having Souttar switch to LCB, as that just weakens the effectiveness of our back 4.

Gilchrist-Souttar-Robbo-Burrows

Yes, Robbo was poor against QPR but Burrows had a poor game that day as well, and has made a significant improvement since then.

Robinson in a straight swap. Losing Anel weakens the starting 11 by 1 player. Playing Gilchrist or Burrows there would mean replacing them too, so why weaken 2 positions to cover for 1 player missing? That's mad logic.

Suspended for 5 yellows

Thank you. I'd slot Gilchrist central and give Seriki a start, tell him to go mental for 45 supporting JRS, then sub for JLT and shift Alfie to where he has been for the second half

No nonsense defence ?
What about the obsession with playing out from the back instead of the goalie kicking it upfield ?
How often do we manage to get over the halfway line before losing possession ? Less than 50% v Stoke.
We end up with mistakes leading to turning it over in dangerous areas.
And Cooper almost gave them a goal with his pass out on Saturday.
Sorry but I am firmly in the camp of goalie getting it at least to halfway unless there is no hint of a press by the opposition , too dangerous otherwise.
And the thought of Robbo being involved in tippy tappy around our box when under pressure just makes me shudder.
