or rather the knobheads that run it.
WTF should people in Miami get to see a prestigious Spanish league fixture ahead of the loyal supporters?
Oh yeah......money, AGAIN.
Imagine a Blades v Owls league game being moved to a different country?
Please don't counter this with 'Well, they play American football games at Wembley you know'
Yeah, I do know, and they can f**k right off as well.
Actually, no, they don't have 'supporters' like 'soccer' does, over here at least.
They have customers who arrive late, go early, and spend stupid amounts of money on merchandise, unless they are lucky enough to catch one of the tee-shirts fired into the crowd from a fake cannon. And don't even get me started on the f*****g 'kiss-cam'
GIVE ME MY SPORT BACK!!!!

If they ever did that with a blades match, I’d be down the club and handing my season ticket back. I’d be done with the game.

I’d be surprised if there isn’t an uproar from the fans of these two clubs

It was always going to happen.

Fortunately they’ve done it with the Club World Cup and other such shite previously so it’s not impacted league games.

There will most likely be a PL game staged somewhere overseas in the next few years.

It’s a pile of shite but with the popularity of the NFL London Games and the NBA Paris games it’s only a matter of time.

I think votes in Premier league need 14 clubs to vote for it..with Ipswich there now I think that makes 14 yank owners..think its just a matter of time.

I get it with Kiss cam but the snap chat filter is a good one or the look alike one.

I think the idea of that match played in Miami is ridiculous and seems silly when they are expanding the club World Cup.

Barcelona are playing "home" fixtures away while the N/Camp is made newer.

They do have world wide appeal.

But it is a kick in the nuts for the loyal Barca fans in Spain.

Personally I’d be over the moon for us to be that big a deal that they’d actually want us to play in the states. Would be booking a flight as soon as it was announced.

Once the Americans have ownership of enough Premier League clubs they could possibly vote in this sort of shit.
I think that the Labour Government will change the scope of the new Football regulator when they bring the bill to the House of Commons. They will give it ore power to stop things liker this. It is a no brainer to get football fans on their side

I can just see it now, Wednesday, 3000 to San Diego on a Tuesday night...

More chance of the Blades playing on Fantasy Island than the US .

Financially it will benefit the owners , the clubs and the Spanish League so I can see this sort of thing going ahead .

It'll probably effect a very few elite clubs infrequently .

As for supporters , apparently man utd have 32m fans in the US alone ! Owners need to feed them with something .

It feels wrong , like the game selling its soul , unfortunately that ship has sailed .

Global football fans support the brand, not the place where the club is from. Man United fans might want to go to old Trafford but they couldn't care less about Manchester and I would suggest for the most part the same is true of most premier league sides now. I live in essex/Hertfordshire border and loads of Tottenham fans. Not sure many of them a fans of North London...

I love the blades and I love sheffield. Our club feels linked to the city.

Like a night out in Sheffield. Not many clubs sing similar in my opinion.

If they ever did that, I would be straight on Skyscanner for a flight. It would mean we had made it to the top table, and with that in mind, I wouldn’t want to miss it.

I find myself chuckling in agreement with you.

I think you can see what will happen by just looking at F1 since it became US owned. For me they have ruined the sport (?). Look at the number of races in the US now, whilst Germany no longer has a GP, all down to money. The cult of personality, especially on the grid walk means I no longer watch that segment, or indeed most races. Football as we know it is doomed I'm afraid.
