Im glad hes here, United under him in the championship can compete at the top of this division, he knows the level we have to reach , same if we go up like in 18 , if he isnt hampered buy our innjury curse we could get enough to stay up.

His signings are falling into place and we are once again moving forwards and making chances
The mix of new blood and young bloods looks exciting

I'll give him his dues, I'm glad he's finally dropped his old system and gone for something more modern and new. I just wish he'd tried this last season earlier before it was too late and pointless. His signings have been good, I can't fault any of them and I never thought O'Hare would stay in the Championship, let alone come to us.
He did it in his first game

We'll see what happens when something goes wrong in his head.
The outburst he had against the players on live TV after that night game against Hull City will go down like a lead balloon with these players, and unfortunately an outburst like that is always likely to happen if we don't play well
Let's hope he doesn't completely melt down and end up going on Owls talk posing as a wednesday fan or something equally cuntish like that

Let's hope he doesn't sit in the corner of an asylum dribbling and clapping all day singing United songs

I notice you've conveniently missed my very good and positive posts about United last night

I think wilder is being underrated and Sausage Rohl overrated big time. Wilder has always done well when he’s built a squad of his own players.
And without cash . not to good when he has any but he cant be perfect all the time . Yes he is the right man for the job as we are skint or so they tell us . No one better building a team without cash than Wilder .

Hope that means the same when we lose a game and the toys get thrown outta the pram?
As long as he keeps his head down and mouth shut then I’m sure it will do. The bloke pissed off a lot of fans over the last few years he’s got a lot of work to do before he starts to repay the faith shown in him by the club after last time.

If the takeover is about to fall through and The Prince stays in charge - he is the best & only man for this job as our manager right now. I doubt anyone else would take this job working for Prince A under current circumstances.
How will he feel minus a few players in January, and another points deduction might be on the cards?

He won’t get another job anywhere , so he’ll moan a little but will just get on with the job as best he can. If he were to resign….. it would also give the Prince a massive problem. He lied to Slav …. And after the shitshow way he ran the club last preseason with Hecky….. he’ll struggle to sell the job to another candidate.

Nope - Wilder is a godsend to us & The Prince right now.

The bloke pissed off a lot of fans over the last few years

A 'lot' of fans.

Or just 'some' who post on here ?

The one true fact about Chris Wilder is that he has pissed off far more Wendy fans, by leaving them dead and buried.

Which is why so many of them come on here and try to undermine him.

So lets side with the Wendy fans and gerrim out ??

It’s literally about 20 blokes who post on here!

You got to the games every week and the pubs agree there’s no mention of this at all. Everyone is 100% behind Wilder.

I beleive the term the younger generation use is internet Trolls. It’s the people with not much else to do so just complain in general.

You seem a prime example.

Big up to the gaffer for this.

Even more so for that interview that must have been so bloody hard to get through.

UTB
I feel the OP question is even more apt because as a club, no, as a family, there is no one else who I would want to be there bringing that team together at this time. He must be in bits and to have to do interviews like that must be so tough. The next few weeks and months are going to hurt so much and he has to steer the team and club through that both successfully and with compassion and care.

He really is one of our own and the award is well deserved.

I will give Wider and Knill the credit they deserve for dragging the side out of the pub league and further up. He did it by careful selection of quality players, using little money and a system they incorporated with panache.
This time round, they have done very well with high player turnover, and maybe recycling some cash.

I was unsure about the wisdom of his reappointment, and the rebuild is only half done. The only depth we have is courtesy of the academy, and we have so far played teams who were good for picking poimts up. The hard part is about to start.

He does seem to have a handle on player rotation and the better use of subs. I have been disappointed too often in the past to go overboard now, but they do seem to have renewed vigor in the squad and the fans. I am cautiously optimistic now, but I still have some reservations about the future.

I still have some reservations about the future.

A common anxiety shared by many football fans throughout the country.

It's only a game, and only one team can win.

Personally I think Wilder has made a superb job of assembling a team of mostly new players and getting them to gel in the space of only 2/3 months.

At the start of the season I could have given a list of preferences to Wilder TBH.

However, given the window, start we’ve had and losing Furious Starman George, I can’t think of anyone more qualified or more appropriate to keep the team, club and fans together.

It’s gonna be tough, was bad after Maddy, this doubles down on the pain and sense of loss. Hope the team do a Greece and play like 11 Gorges.

I don’t disagree, but face facts. Even with emerging. academy talent filling gaps successfully, the job is only half done, and upcoming fixtures represent the need for some concern?

I'm sure that had funds been made available by the owners, that Chris would have engaged at least 3 or four more players.

Chris can't be held responsible for a lack of funding.

The magic money tree in the championship has far less fruit than the one which grows in the PL.

I suppose the positive way of looking at it is that Arblaster didn’t cost the club a transfer fee. Neither did N’diaye?

Are we growing an academy starlets for sale, or are they cost effective recruits?

Both, if you’re offered Osula money for an unproven kid then you sell them, if they’re decent you play them and try to keep them as long as possible. The danger then is making sure they’re always on long enough deals to make it worth our while if someone wants to buy them.

Surely the answer to that is both? We do well with the academy and I am sure it shows a good profit over the past few years. But (looking at Arblaster) he lad seems sensible, a big blades fan and has a long contract. It should therefore take a lot of money to shift him. Clubs with plenty of money can afford to take a chance on players like Oscula. Everton paid £1,000,000 for a raw Calvert-Lewin and most people's reaction was "for that money I'll drive him across the Pennines". Jacob Mellis went to Chelsea for £1,000,000 and spent a limited career in the lower divisions.

Agree, DCL fee was pocket money for Everton, he hasn't pulled many trees up imo, but so what cost them nothing and might make a profit if he goes, if they'd payed £25m he'd be a flop, I.e. Brewster
