Supports lots of local unsigned musicians, major advocate for mental health awareness and contributes a fair whack to local causes.

But yeah, "embarrassing" and "pathetic horrible rats".

Cool 👍🏻
Come back when you’ve dealt with them personally.

Come back when you’ve dealt with them personally.

Yeah, I’ve dealt with both of them personally.

I’ve always found them both to be two very likeable blokes, and the sort of people who would go out of their way to do a good turn to others.

However thanks to your valuable input and insights, I’ve now decided they are both horrible cunts based on the attention seeking, nonsensical ranting of the resident S24SU forum spanner 🔧

That’s not what you wrote. You wrote ‘arguably worse than what he (ched) was charged with’
Which was rape.
I wrote 'arguably' which doesn't mean I think King's offence was worse. It means that there's an argument that King's victim suffered more. As I recall, the woman in the Ched case didn't support the prosecution.

WOW…….thought I’d come on here and read all the positive comments about the upcoming Paul Heaton concert/celebration and guess what…….its been turned into yet another anarchic hate campaign by a small minority of sad and desperate keyboard warriors. What a sad world we currently live in. Cheers😡

Oh my, 9 games unbeaten, 'top of the league', 6 consecutive clean sheets and a Blade announced as playing at Bramall Lane and we've got a thread full of toxic argument after one idiot asks why said Blade didn't denounce the signing of a player 11 years ago!!!

When are the tickets on sale? Did I miss that bit amongst the rest?

Heard the same and I’ve not been a fan of his.

Friday 9.30am, unless you buy the new album then you’ll get pre-sale access at 8.30am same day.

I certainly don't want him to be cancelled or to do anything he wouldn't otherwise do to be clear as a result of this.

Even now it wouldn't be too late to say 'I should have spoken up and resigned about Marlon King in the way I did with Ched Evans' and that would suffice in my book, not that I think he does/should care what I think.

Doubt it will sell out immediately but could be sold out in a few weeks

I'll be there with bells on!

And who cares if Heaton went public about being charitable with some concert proceeds?

If you're gonna give chunks of money away to a good cause I don't see the harm in getting some nice PR from it. Makes a pleasant change to hear about people doing something nice instead of something shit.

Exactly, he used the Ched Evans situation to generate some nice PR for himself. I don't find that particularly endearing.

Not sure how the likes of Ennis and Heaton could ignore the Marlon King signing with the rap sheet he has against his name.

Marlon King got it fairly easy from the press despite how much of a cunt he is.

He also used his "60th birthday situation" to give people a free bar.
He also used the "Q magazine closing down situation" to donate to people who lost their jobs.
He used the "expensive rip off tickets everywhere situation" to charge less than most other high profile acts. Yes it makes him "look good" and deservedly so, he's trying to set an example he hopes other rich stars will follow.

The guy clearly just wants to be nice and isn't a greedy twat. Not everybody does nice things for all the wrong reasons, perhaps the lady doth project too much?

Did Marlon King play for us??? No seriously... Did he??? 😂 😂 😂 😂

Yep he did unfortunately, even scored underneath the Jessica Ennis Stand:

And Fjortoft's Aeroplane as I've stated above I don't think he's a bad person at all, though I think he didn't navigate the Ched Evans situation correctly or appropriately and he should have spoken out against Marlon King signing for us.

Charlie Webster did it better by condemning Marlon King at the time he signed for us.

Were you worried that he didn't raise any issues with Marlon King signing for us?

As you say it was all PR and it looked good for Ennis and Heaton to grandstand and make a gesture over Evans. If it was about morals then they would have quite rightly made a noise about King signing. I remember most of us fans didn't want that twat to sign at the time.

Anyway all in the past and I feel like it's been debated to death.
