Last season Radio Sheffield said it was pronounced Harmer.


Though they have been known to be wrong.

As have I.

Though I always thought it was spelt Matt Killgammon.
 
The greatest one we've ever had was Jay McEveley.

I literally saw at least a dozen different spellings of his surname.

Except for footballers who are called N'Diaye. It's wrong for his case, but I wouldn't worry too much.

I remember them asking Berge whether it was pronounced like berg or burger. He said it was pronounced like "bear-gay" but whatever locals found easier was fine. Radio Sheffield then pronounced it however they liked.

Similar to how there's an old video of the players introducing themselves in an Everton promo and Jagielka pronounces his name ya-jelka. Nobody ever got close to that in his whole career.
