More than likely going to be at the game today.
Clough, Sven, Pullis or whoever.

Keep those eyes peeled lads!

Derby says that no financial settlement has been agreed yet.
Sven says he is happy in China and his next club will not be in England.
Not heard anything on Pulis.
Might be better looking for mystery managers who you were not expecting to be at the match.

im also expecting one from left field.

Dont listen to Radio pig or the stir. They know the same as us. Nothing until its released.

I don't see why the issue Clough is having with Derby should prevent us from making an announcement (if indeed he is the next manager).

As I understand it Derby whilst dismissing him as manager are still paying him on a monthly basis therefore in theory he remains employed by Deby thus if he does wish to take up another post he would have to resign meaning he would not be entitled to compensation.

A mate of mine tried to tell me that the reason Derby sacked Clough was that he had been caught speaking to Prince Abdullah. Of course, I dismissed this as bollocks. Why would a club sack a manager that another club was interested in when they would have to pay him up and forego any due compensation?

However, perhaps the discussions going on are three way (ha, I said three way) and they are discussing whether they should pay Clough anything and how much the Blades would have to pay Derby.

All rumours and most likely made up, but I just thought I would share what I had been told, albeit by someone who doesn't even claim to be in the know.

Brian the Blade, surely?
He said he wouldn't go to BL whilst Weir was in charge.

That's scary isn't it?

Clough has stated that he is not in a rush to get back into football and would take his payout from Derby and move on but will not do this while his former backroom staff are still fighting for their payout.

Pulis was on Five Live at Old Trafford so he would need a good pair of binoculars to keep an eye on us!!

Clough was at Crewe today.

And disappointing. Nailed on, I suspect. Stick with Morgan if this is the best that's available. God forbid we go back to 6% Davey style "football".

Tbh, I wouldn't be wholly against Morgan stabilising the club for a bit until better managerial candidates became available or attracted to the post.

Here we go! It's started. Exactly as I predicted.

The Hoofers want one of their own at all costs. They cover their ears when every person in authority at SUFC confirms that we are going to play proper football and pretend it hasn't been said.

They will die in the trenches before they will knowingly allow our players to pass the ball to each other.

They will fight tooth and nail against ball control, intelligent movement and possession. Why do such things when you can launch it aimlessly forward and make the game a continuous succession of 50/50 balls, just like we used to do as kids in the playground?

They are desperate to install a monothought non-achiever such as Muckanettles but only as a poor substitute for their spiritual heroes Semipro, Quickfix or the great guru himself. Anyone but a footballing manager. None of your fancy stuff here, lad. This is s2, the kingdom of kick and rush.

The game's afoot:
Follow your spirit, and upon this charge Cry 'God for Hoofball, England, and Saint Kev!'

Quite right. I mean people like Unsworth, Shipperley, Jagielka, Tonge, Ifill, Webber, Kabba, Quinn, Geary etc never showed the slightest bit of intelligent movement or ball control. And if we go further back to the likes of Brown, McCall and Ndlovu.........well, proper hoofers they were, weren't they? Never created anything.

And even further back, Deane and Agana couldn't control a ball or score a goal if it was handed to them on a plate. And that Glynn Hodges. Real donkey he was.

Good job we got Weir to put a stop to all that.

I can't be arsed to read your post because after your ongoing support for 6% Davey, you've lost the plot.

But to clarify, I'd give Morgan a short term contract until better candidates appear. It's just a vote for common sense. That's not complicated, but your inability to grasp anything that's not one extreme or the other is now the stuff of legend.

Clough comes across as dull and hasn't demonstrated any success in a long time of management.

Dull and unsuccessful. Only you know why you continue to crave this.

Proof that 'care in the community' has its risks.

bit like our last manager then

He's already under contract. Free holiday in Belgium if he wins more than one game. That'll do.

As another in the taxiful who bought into 6% Davey's brand of "football", I wasn't expecting a vote from you.

Choosing to ignore your misrepresentation of my views, I'll reiterate... :)

Morgan really doesn't need a contract. He's got another chance to put himself forward as management material. He also has a contract already. Nothing needs to be done unless or until he's appointed full time or let go.

It would seem a bit unfair to leave it hanging for what might become several months. Then again, if he would be happy to be drip fed, then so be it.

My main point is that I'd rather stick with Morgan until better options than Clough appear. He feels like a continuation of "project boredom".

According to Alan Biggs Clough was at Crewes game today. Still think it will be him.

If Clough was at Crewe, who we play next week, then it looks pretty certain he's going to be the new manager. There is absolutely no other rational explanation for him being there.

If indeed he was??
