Not a great bunch on this one. Long and Wright are perhaps the fabourites.

Notes on the players:

Doane: this is his first two seasons when he didn't played much. Played most of his games at 15 from 2001-03

Thompson: wore 25 in 2001-02, but never played a first team game that season. He played his games as 41 in 2000-01 and 30 in 2002-03.

Nugent: reserve defender who never played a first team game in this or any other season

Gerrard: wore this shirt when he was on loan for 3 months in 03-04 when Kenny was injured and again as 3rd choice goalie in 07-08 (but didn't play a game that season). Wore 29 in 06-07 when he did play some games.

Francis: wore 25 at the end of 03-04. Was 16 in the following 2 seasons before he left.

Webber: Wore 25 when he was on loan at the end of 04-05. Wore no. 10 from 2005-09.

Wright: wore this number during the promotion and PL seasons. Was 22 in 03-04 and 3 in 04-05.

Designated nightmare candidates are Thompson, Nugent, Gabrieli, Tahar and Baath. Vote for them and your vote won't be counted unless you justify it in the thread.

Voted for George but nearly went for Webber if only for that goal at Bellend Road 93 secs into his debut.

It just says 2005, I assumed it was the promotion season, it must have been the 04-05 season then.

Please read the first post, where it says clearly it was just his loan spell at the end of 04-05!

Here's a clue from Post #1.

Almost voted for Little on the strength of coming off the bench, changing the game and then hearing Sam Ellis on the radio saying he couldn't start because he didn't defend well enough.

I voted for him anyway as I thought he looked exciting and hungry in that loan spell and that encouraged us to sign him. Wright barely played in the shirt and certainly didn't excite me. Long is the only other viable option and whilst he has potential, he doesn't really float my boat in a 'best of' team.

Webber, even though it was just the loan. The 4-0 at Leeds was sublime, and it felt like a new era was about to start.

Although Webber spent longer in 10, his initial loan spell was very good, before the opposition discovered his one trick and his performances went pony
