Kev says it’d be done by now if it wasn’t for those pesky kids.

If Uncle Kev were here we’d have sold everyone at first bid to cover the losses during the covid season.

It’s all well and good him saying we’d have been this and that if he’d have sold to Pace or still being in charge, but the fact is we’ve only been properly ambitious once in my lifetime and it wasn’t him that was in charge.

Thats one game… The 30k for a full season, says otherwise. The 28k the year before in the second tier.

If you don’t expand, you can’t grow.

We were averaging sub 20,000 the last time we expanded the stadium.

They’ll always be a reason not to do any work on the ground - spend it on getting promoted/staying up/sustaining top flight status/pushing on for a European spot. It’ll be even harder to expand it the better we are doing as we will be without x amount of seats for a period of time.
That’s 2 games. 25k blades this time. And let’s not forget. The prices are reasonable. We haven’t lost. We are very much imo fancied to go up. We are not been ripped off like pigs. We have a far better team than pigs We have a far better stadium than pigs. So where is everybody? Or do we start supporting when we are top 6 ??

Most fans haven't seen a Blades win for over a year.
My grandson is a season ticket holder and he missed the Wolves and Brentford games last season.
We were saying last week, he hasn't seem us win for going on 2 years ha ha.

When you consider how miserable the fanbase is....then over 26K average home fans for both matches is incredible support.
Imagine if SWFC had gone nearly a year without a win...their gates would now easily be below 20K.

United match day prices are one of the highest in the league, think they are 4th highest (behind Leeds, Sheff Wed and Middlesboro).

Our prices in general are 10% below Sheff Wed, so hardly reasonable ??????
It was £37 cheapest ticket on the Kop against QPR, £42 elsewhere, so over 27.5K with hardly any away fans is again excellent support.

Last season was the worse season in United's entire history, the fans have never been as low as last season....totally demoralising and not enjoyable.
This season there were rumours that almost every player would leave and we'd have a totally new team that might end up relegated.
Even the most positive fans had this season as a rebuilding exercise and were hopeful we could be comfortable mid table.
So to manage over 22,000 season ticket renewals is simply incredible support.

Sheff Wed have their greatest manager in years, everything on the up with massive positivity, with many expecting a promotion push
and barely scraped 18,000 season ticket holders. Now there's a realisation that SWFC wont win the league,
then crowds down at S6 will be back around the 24 to 25,000 mark again.

Let’s not get into this with pigs cos when you start telling a few facts you get labelled a pig lol. There’s a few on here get it regular despite been well known proper blades. Wednesday go a year without a win there’d be under 20k ? Don’t talk stupid ffs. They’ve not been in prem for 25 years they are constantly shit. They are getting ripped off year after year (good ) but ffs don’t be like them and tell lies. They are possibly the most stupid loyalist thick cunts in football. Deluded as fuck yes. But you cannot knock there support Sheffield football support for what we get back in return especially them daft cunts is unrivalled Leeds and Newcastle included

Pac
Easy for him to say that.
Pace leveraged the Burnley buyout so where would the money have come from to buy us and re-build the stands. They used Burnleys good house keeping to buy them! We were a club running on empty so where would the stadium development money have come from ..?.
Talk is cheap he needs to back it up with facts.

I'm not registered at SWFC, but I could walk in buy a ticket for me and four friends for their next match if I wanted too

And the smart arses on here can say what they want about it being easy to register and buy a ticket, and then easy to register all your friends and family and buy theirs as well, but in the real world with very, very, very casual fans it isn't going to happen.

The way to turn them very, very, very casual fans into people that would go more often is to make it easy for them to do so.

The trips to Wembley are even more fucking stupidly arranged, up to 45,000 tickets available for a club that averages 28,000 and they won't sell more than one per person, and even then they'll only do it after they've gone through the time consuming absolute bollocks about loyalty points. There's 17,000 more than our average attendance and still they waste time fucking about with loyalty points.

Meanwhile, Coventry, Luton, Pigs and everybody else that has been to Wembley recently just gets them sold.

Wednesday support is no better than ours on average. They have lots of day trippers for the big occasion and alot of young uns for away games but our home crowds have been better over the last 20 years.

Also your saying it's expensive to watch them, it is also expensive to watch us aswell. If I didn't have a ST I wouldn't pay £40+ to watch a game after last season.

Why do we feel like we have to justify our crowd sizes to those pricks?

What you want to happen will never happen no matter how many times you say it. The measures are designed to give stadium security the ability to know exactly who is in the ground, and preferably exactly who is sat where. It's counter terrorism protection as much as anything else and unfortunately there is no going back, modern football stadiums will only have more crowd control measures in place. Also, Hillsborough isn't exactly a shining beacon of how to manage crowds.

Ok
So how do Luton manage to sell more than 40,000 for Wembley when they couldn't get 10,000 at home.
The stupid, pathetic one ticket per person is not the only way to control who gets a ticket

It was you that tried to compare us with the pigs and my point is we are a much more loyal fan base,

You fail to grasp a few facts.....if they've getting ripped off....then so are we..
Do some research and check their prices against ours.....there's only a 10% difference.

Wednesday have had glory years in living memory, won several massive matches, won at Wembley several times.
According to their fans this season they are on a massive high having the best manager in decades, who is destined to manage Man Utd etc.

Compare it to United, now on an incredible run of 13 massive matches with out a win,
Failed to win their last 7 FA cup finals, lost 2 league cup semi finals, lost all 5 play-off finals. No wonder many of our fans boycott Wembley.
Never even been in a cup final this side of the war, never played in Europe.

Based on the above record of zero post war success.....Sheffield United are the best supported club in the whole of Europe.
Instead of crying, burying you head in the sand screaming delusion.....just do some research checking statistics/ facts.

Name another club in Europe who has never been in a single post war final and never played in Europe who average 30K gates?
I'll give you a clue.......there isn't one.....apart from SUFC.

So how do Luton manage to sell more than 40,000 for Wembley when they couldn't get 10,000 at home.

Bristol Rovers also sold over 40K tickets and the official Wembley record belongs to Millwall with just over 50K tickets sold.

I've been a season ticket holder for 10 years, my grandson 6 years but we wanted a total of 4 tickets for the Man City semi-final game at Wembley.
One family member is on the database but my partner (who doesnt really like football) wasn't on the database.

We knew we'd lose to Man City but 4 of us planned to make a weekend of it down in London
but we couldn't buy tickets together. My partner wasn't even allowed a ticket, so we didn't bother.

Then I heard about 3 days before the match Wembley dropped the restrictions and we were then allowed to buy 4 tickets
but by then it was too late, so stayed in Sheffield and watched it on TV instead.

Where as my brother is a Wednesday season ticket holder and they were allowed up to 6 tickets each....thats how they were shifted in 24 hours.
He took his wife who isn't bothered about football either but she enjoyed the big day out drinking and atmosphere.
I've always said if you're a season ticket holder at Sheff United then you should be allowed to buy a number of match tickets on your season ticket.

If it is Wembley making the rules , how come we differ so much from the pigs ticket office ?

Don't we generally make it difficult for new fans to buy tickets unless they go in the TO?

I remember for the SF vs City loads had problems getting x amount of tickets and I can't remember why. Not sure if it's us or Wembley.

Wembley don't make the rules, the tickets are made available and the club decides to see them in whatever manner they want.
United just decide to waste so much time selling to the 28,000 that "deserve to go" and put enormous restrictions on those that never go.

They don't seem to understand that those that never go will not jump through hoops to go, they'll just say the same as what they say every Saturday "Aww fuck it, I can't be bothered with all this shit, going on me own, sitting on me own all day"

Even very loyal fans wouldn't like that much even though they might still go, but a part timer, a daytripper with his family definitely won't go

A Chinese lad, a student in Sheffield, once posted on here asking for help getting tickets. I was at the ground early for another event so thought what the hell and helped him out. He wanted to attend with his parents and a few Chinese mates (fellow students). A few of them had bought shirts etc. I went to the ticket office and handed over £100 in cash they'd refused to accept for these tickets. I left shaking my head thinking that the whole situation was ludicrous. I don't remember who we played except that it was a league game and not Leeds, Forest, Wendy. A non descript league game.

The great irony is, the game that will put their crowd average above ours…will be against us.

Will be interesting how the Americans tackle ticket sales ! There has to be a better way ! Security is important yes! Growing our fan base too is important.

Approx short 2,000-3,000 seems about right to be fair. How many home end fans last season were students watching Premier League football or “Premier League Tourists” also a Sat kick-off vs a Premier League side a bit better than Watford on a Sunday afternoon (no disrespect to Watford)

Are you sure you're a Blade. Sounds like something a Pig would write. There was 26500+ and 27000+ home Blades for the first 2 games. Hardly any away support . After last season I'd call that excellent against the opposition. You lot Pigs only had 24000 fans for their second game of the season against their second biggest rivals losing 4000 fans after thrashing Plymouth and having a miracle season. As for ticket prices, we are charging £36 Kop ticket for the next home game which is a Category A fixture while they are charging £37 for a Category B fixture.

The Derby County at home match has been classed as cat A which means they never go on general sale and you have to have 300 loyalty points to get in. No casual or new fans will be able to attend and fans with young children who are going for their first match or 2 are also excluded.
Its Derby - madness

Bloke from work paid £52 for a ticket against Leeds. Told him to give his head a wobble.

It is daft the system we have in place. Got friends up that weekend, one a man u fan (st holder there) fancied coming to watch the game against Derby. Cant get him a ticket. £38 plus his couple of pints and a pie lost because the system doesnt work right. Wont be sold out either!
