Agreed. I think he's been training with Burnley though, so hopefully he's not far off. Even if he's not 100% may be worth a punt on a one year deal. Gives him a chance to prove his fitness and us a good option if he does.

I wouldn’t be against it, but I would want him to be having a thorough medical. Has to be right for the club, sentiment shouldn’t play any part in it.

Just noticed Nathan Ferguson from Palace is a free agent. He has had injury issues though but I remember him being a decent prospect at West Brom but it doesn't look like it has gone to plan at Palace.

In my view we needed a forward who is tall ish and athletic as a back up to Moore.

Connolly isn't much fancied but he is at least a competent forward who could partner Moore. We barely have one of those

Isaac Success is another but I think he ended up being used more as a winger at Udinese.

Squad is too thin. First 11 is strong, so we don't need better, we just need depth. So Connoly on a 1 year deal would be good imo

I'd love to sign Rick Karsdorp who is also a free agent but very unrealistic

Alexis Beka Beka has been let go from Nice the lads a talented footballer. He had his troubles last year with poor mental health and even planned to kill himself.

I know it’s highly unlikely nigh on impossible he’d come here for a whole host of reasons but players have found homes at random clubs before after mental health struggles like Caulker going up to Scotland and then out to Turkey.

He’s a talented player and I hope he gets his career back on track.

I think its a case of he came through the Manchester United academy and played in their first squad for a bit so expectations were that he must be a world beater, where in reality he's a decent championship full back. But absolutely can play at right or left back.

The term 'wrong'un' is perfect for him. All sorts of issues - the reason he's without a club despite being a Champ level player
