I’ve no idea how you do a poll, but if I did this would be my survey question:

If the new owners decided on a complete revamp of BDTBL and agreed a two season ground share with the truffle hunters, would you go?

Though in winter when we had strong Northerly gales blowing through 'the hole', it wasn't great sitting on the kop either.
Filling in the corners also makes the sound better, when the ground is in full voice.

Do you remember the ground before McCabe joined the board, it was like a third division stadium.
But just a few posts up, you’ve talked about being relegated after building the SS and “spending others’ money”. I assume you were against McCabe developing the ground also?

I was sat there last Saturday thinking this same thing. Why am I still here l. It’s an addiction I suppose!

No other thing in life would let you down as much as United have consistently for a year & you keep turning up to watch it again.

It’s like watching a shite movie on repeat hoping for a different ending 🤣
Only let you down for a year! Let me down for well over 50 years but I still keep coming back. If ever we get a good team this place will rock like never before but will never be as cosy as the 14k regulars in 4th division. We had a half decent side 4 years ago and averaged over 30k, if we were more consistent who knows what support we could get .

no Im not up to date with my tetanus shots

Would they even be open to a temporary ground share? I can’t imagine it would go down well with their fan base and why would they want to help their biggest rival?

Obviously money talks, but if it was the other way around I’d be asking for something silly like £10m a season plus costs for them to use the Lane.

We’d probably have to think about going to somewhere like Barnsley, Bradford or maybe even Derby?

In total Dreamland of needing it I would hell Rotherham expand their ground to 18k as it's set up to and play there with some sort of rota for season ticket holders so they get at least a set amount of games

Unfortunately I’ve been a blade for over 30. 20 years of more grief to catch you up 😂⚔️

My dad talks fondly about the 4th division days.

I would demolish that bastardised abomination between the kop and John Street in a heartbeat. The architect 🤣 who came up with that should never have worked again. Huge swathes of seats in this corner stand are either restricted view or (believe it or not) no view at all.
Have you ever been in that stand I’m guessing no.

I was a regular in there a few year back, it’s a great view, however some seats are partially restricted but it’s not as bad as you think.

The posts are very thin much thinner than the poles on the Kop. So it”s a simple case of moving your head a couple of inch from left to right at certain moments. Not
Ideal but easily do able. The facilities on there are a level above the Kop facilities, also large toilets with no many people using them. It can’t be that bad because some proper prefer those seats and it was almost full against QPR.

Also if you diminish it was lose 900 seats, lose revenue and it looks worse.

Ideally if and when we redo the Kop, we could reunited that corner stand ensuring the Kop has the same rake.

We have just played our first home game of season. Saturday 3pm and we had 26k blades in stadium. What’s that tell you ?

26.6K Blades to be exact. So nearer 27K.
However it was made catorgory A, cheapest ticket on the Kop £37 against unattractive opposition then to have near 27K isn’t bad.

Then when you consider we haven’t won a home match in 2024 then it’s amazing support.

I take my grandson and he missed the Brentford and Wolves home matches. He was telling me on Saturday that he couldn’t remember the last time he saw United win, must be 1.5 years ago, incredible really.

The difference is that occasionally it's the best crap movie you've ever seen!

Yes,should be reunited back into any Kop redevelopment,as it was always part of the old kop.
Sat in there a couple of times, not good if you are in the restricted seats, but otherwise a decent view.

I’d suggest Derby County for a couple of years, not too far and easy to get too.

I reckon if we had to travel to Derby for our home games the attendances would be lower than what we could fit into Rotherham or Chesterfields ground anyway. No way we're taking over 11k to Derby every other week so negates needing a 30k stadium

Yes twice and that was enough. Look, I appreciate we can’t lose the revenue of those seats right now, but if and when we do redesign the kop surely we can marry up the kop and John Street better than this, without having so many restricted view seats.

I'd put up with it for a season.
Realistically we'd have to play at Rotherham or even Derby.

Depends on the circumstances, if we’re building a new stadium I’d imagine there would be a decent amount of optimism about the club which would help attendances. Also if we’re successful on the pitch, that’s obviously going to help.

Why wouldn’t we? Imagine the amount of stickers we could cover every single surface with in the building

I recon we would get 18-22k easily, lots of supporters live in and around the south of the city I’d say a bigger percentage of anywhere else, the club would also put on lots of coaches that could be free for season ticket holders being picked up at a -ark and ride.

I think talk of a new stadium is quite fanciful. American consortiums are usually only concerned with ROI.

I can’t imagine anyone is expecting anything to happen anytime soon, I know I’m not anyway! It’s just something interesting to discuss.

If any significant development work happens in the next 20 years I’d be shocked.
