Absolutely enormous GLTTL. His time here was done, it happens to all players in the end. We knew it, he knew it. But he gave us some moments and memories that are up there with the very best in our club's history.

He will look immense in League 1. Superb signing for Stockport.

3 years..reyt result for him.

Agree....he's currently 33 and 4 months, so it's impressive to be guaranteed a decent income past his 36th birthday.
Norwood has always been the sensible type...suspect his priority was length of contract and somewhere local to his native Burnley.

Will be interesting to see how he copes......regards bossing it?.....I'd say it's more about how he's used.
Don't think he'll have the legs to be combative in league 1 but he'll always have his great range of passing...especially his long pass.

So if he sits deep in midfield....other midfielders give him the ball quickly....and he has some pacey runners up front.
Then suspect Stockport will score loads of goals on the break. He kicks a ball so sweetly that when he plays that deeper position it's almost like he's playing as quarterback and looking for his runner option ahead....then ping....has the knack of creating a goal just from a long pass.

Another point that doesn't get enough mention is that Norwood is a great character, so humble, and level headed.
So much experience of being in successful promotion campaigns....so he'll be a great influence on the other players in the SC dressing room.

I was a regular at Edgeley Park in the late 60s when Len Allchurch joined Stockport from the Blades after Alan Woodward displaced him on United’s right wing. Len did well and was very popular with the County fans. Ollie Norwood may be back in the. Championship with them next season.

How did they pull that off. Great signing for them. Good luck with the move and the next season of "how well do you Nor-wood"

Big GLTTL. Will likely be looking to do a few aways of theirs to clear the 92 this season so good to have a bit more rooting interest

I think he’ll thrive there. Decent club and he’ll do fine in that division

The disrespect from some fans had me biting my tongue at times. Sure he's past his best but he was fantastic for us and a big part in us having half a billion in TV money come in!
The disrespect shown to him at times shows just how wank some of our fans are. I’m grateful I got to watch him in the red & white stripes & wish him nothing but the best.

Great to see him back. It’s unfair on everyone in league one though.

He deserves a huge GLTTL. Huge role model, very consistent, never shied away from owt. Leader, model professional. He was central to some of the best memories we have had as Blades. Hugely grateful.

There's something about stepping down a level or two, to be adored again and to be as effective as you have been at this level, to prolong your career. He deserves that.

Norwood was a proper baller for us with a passing range as good as anyone, unfortunatly farther time slowed him down so he wasnt able to replicate his form at the highest levels, but in league 1 he will be sublime a real GLTTL
