U21s back for the new season.. interesting to see who's involved this campaign and also with playing Wrexham tomorrow.

If a Keeper comes in this summer hopefully that allows Faxon to go out on loan. Given we’ve brought Molyneux in as 21’s keeper it would be a shame for Faxon to spend a season not really playing or splitting minutes for the 21’s

Excellent first half as you’d expect with a strong side. All playing well, really liking Ryan One he’s improving fast and his close control is excellent.

Plenty of the older ones today would be eyeing up a loan you’d imagine if they’re not going to be in the first team group. The likes of Faxon, Sachdev, Marsh etc

He doesn’t look that tall to me, as in Osula/Jebbison tall, they were around 6.4 but One looks nothing like that, maybe 6 foot ish.

Yeah he’s a very well built lad that makes him look bigger against smaller lads. I could be wrong and he could be 6-3, 6-4 but he just doesn’t strike me as Jebbo tall although it’s a dodgy camera angle looking down on them.

Great performance from them all, One really is coming on leaps and bounds and was excellent. It’s great having young players in the squad and on the bench for the experience, getting 10 minutes here and there but if that’s all he’s going to get I’d try and get him out on loan now, nothing lower than L1 imo.

Tend to agree but still a pleasure watching performances like that. Could have easily been double figures.

Have to say you would have expected an u21 side from Brentford to have a bit more about them

One's at least 6'3 and more compact/stronger than Jebbo/Osula. He's also fast and is improving technically. I hope we get to see more of him in the first team than the other two.

Some of the u18 games One looked laughably bigger than everyone on the pitch. Now time will tell of he's got the ability and not just a early physical advantage that others catch up on with.

Takeaway from watching this.

• The Brentford team were not well matched to play the team we put out. Couldn't compete.
• Could (should) have been double figures
• Some atrocious finishing from the team. Louie Marsh better hope Wilder wasn't watching if he wants first team minutes.

Good grief, some dreadful decision making and finishing in the final third.
Keeper also looking rooted to the spot.

Sadly many of those young lads are still a long way away from regular football here.

Minutes for Campbell though which is a positive, I’m really hoping he’s going to offer us a lot.
