Not just me and my wife who find it too loud !! Thanks for raising it.
Sometimes before kick off it seems to be pushing statutory limits !!
Today the sound was even louder but the p.a. system was very poor. Sinclair’s interview with a group was totally inaudible.
Now the we have a fan zone do we need loud (or any) music in the stadium ? If we must, then please turn it down so fans can speak to each other.

South Stand seemed louder than ever yesterday and as you say, with such poor quality.
Aside from the music, I can only ever just about make out Sinclair’s voice - any other spoken word from interviews or on the big screen is pretty much inaudible.
The music though was ridiculously loud yesterday.

Dunno what you're all talking about, I never get to my seat before 3.01 😉

South stand is an awful racket, in these post covid days it's no pleasure having to stand nose to nose with your mates screaming at each other to be heard, does anyone from the club actually listen or read on here what the fans want?

Going from the concourse on John Street, to my seat couldn't believe the volume. Noticeably louder than last season.
Grey Blade daughter mentioned about the Drcinic advertising and how if might be a problem for epileptics. I hadn't noticed it until she said it.

Apart from the music volume did anyone else find the DrCinik round the pitch advertising ridiculously bright when it flashed. I found it very distracting

Yeah, when the text was flashing it was somewhat migraine -inducing. Not looking forward to seeing that under floodlights.

The strange thing is they often give a warning of flashing lights on various News programmes and I often think there's nothing to see!.

As for DrCinik - it's a crap thing to be advertising in the first place. They should intersperce it with pics of Katie Price (especially her lips), that might make folk think twice about wasting their money :D

I don't mind round the pitch advertising but not when it becomes as obtrusive and annoying as that shite. Sort it out United.

It's difficult balance for the SS. With so many on there being hard of hearing it needs to be on loud. But then the young 'uns (under 50) find it too loud.

It's not the loudness but the awful quality of the sound system (on the kop).
Gary Sinclair's pronouncements are unintelligible, so pointless (I think they may be pointless anyway, but I can't make them out to get a definitive answer). The music is "mushy" and distorted. The whole thing needs dumping or updating.

Sound is crystal clear on the south stand and absolutely deafening. I’ve moaned about it every matchday for years. Some Wed***day fan mates who went to the women’s Euros were impressed by facilities at Bramall Lane but immediately said the PA is horrendously loud.
I have genuinely lost my voice at least twice after trying to have conversations with family and friends on match days that we’ve sat with for years.
Please get it turned down.

Bunch of moaning old fuckers who cares. Stay in the pub with your mates until the game and support local buisnesses. Simple.

Sound is absolutely spot on in the south stand also.

It's a pretty simple request. It's not slagging the club off or any individuals. Just turn down the volume on the music a lot.

See the results of the poll.

But why? What’s up with it. Moan that you can’t hear it and then moan that you can hear it. If you want a chat go to the pub. And fucking sing while at the game or don’t go.

And of course the poll is going to say whatever you want it to say because “leave it as it is” was not an option 🤣🤣

You've clearly read none of the thread.

The thread is just an echo chamber. Have options in the poll for “it’s alright as it is” and “I don’t care”, and you may get a balanced discussion/result.

In fact I’d confidently predict “I don’t care” would win substantially

You've not read it though, have you? You wouldn't ask "why" or "what's up"? Many people have said why and what's up.

Echo chamber? Oddly popular social media phrase.

The poll has spoken and allegedly it's even louder this season.

Yeah go to the pub to talk - but I don't understand your point - should people not talk at the game? Sit silently being blasted with music then watch the match and leave?

Did you read the comments that neither the Kop nor the SS can hear any of the people being interviewed. The p.a. system is poor.
Given that most of the crowd is in the stadium well before kick off would suggest that staying in the pub with mates is not universally popular.

One point not made as far as I can see is that the stewards have no option when on duty to put up with the levels of noise. Is that a good thing for the club to be doing ? I appreciate that these are not club employees but there must be a duty of care owed to them.

i had absolutely no issue hearing every word. Neither did anybody around me. Just because some partially deaf old crustaceans can’t hear it doesn’t mean it’s broken.
