Im not high in business at all, but the company i work for have just signed a very good contract for us to supply a major company.

Although we took advice on the contract, it was us who signed the cotract and the people who advised us didnt.

I guess it could be just different worlds.

If the rumours are to be believed he wanted to be playing under wilder, people will know how good our coaching is. The lads likely spent days even weeks going from pillar to post pissing about with negotiations, various wage promises, various conditions between clubs. What do you want? Him to be doing the Macarena ?

The young players while looking promising aren't deserved a space in the squad simply because they're there at the end of the day this is still a business. More to the point despite what some think on here this club has to be considering promotion as an option this season and should be looking towards their next prem season. We can go gifting squad positions based on a good showing against a league 1 side.

No, the agent doesn’t sign on behalf of the player. But the paperwork regarding the agent’s fees is mandatory and has to be submitted to the league.

A bit of a story. I won't name names but work with someone who used to run a chauffeur company. He used to pick up and drop off players on match days. Told me that one time he had to pick up a player short notice as they had a flat tyre. He was early and offered to change their tyre as a favour, no payment. The player called their agent to ask if it was OK and the agent said no. The player was in their late 20's. Just an example of how much influence these agents potentially have on players

They don't just negotiate contracts. Some players use their agents to sort out their homes, bills, cars etc. Some of them probably need agents them to find their own arses to wipe

It doesn’t work like that. In most deals the agent will be paid a sum by the club for negotiating the deal. Also, the club will often pay the player’s fee due to the agent & the player is then taxed on the value as a benefit in kind.
