Funny that.....let's hope that once we've shown him some love......he's smiling and becomes really happy here.
It's a brave move for him....he's still young and may not have ever left the London area....so he'll develop not only as a footballer but also as a person.

If anyone reads the charltonlife forum, 2 years ago their fans were also commenting that he seems quiet, quite shy and doesn't smile much
However they've given him rave reviews, apparently he's fantastic at dribbling, loads of skill, quick feet, close control, sets up and scores goals.
They say he was easily their best player and probably the best player in league 1 that season.

Some commented that his low quality Charlton team mates were holding him back and if he was in a better team he's be able to impress even more.
Most of the Charlton fans were convinced he'll become a good player at Premier league level.

Palace wont sell and their plan is for him to play on loan in the Championship this season.
Apparently there were about 10 Championship teams showing interest, but once it become known this would be a very expensive loan
many teams dropped out leaving just Leeds, Sheff Utd and Hull City......the fact he's chosen us is a real coup.

I suspect a lot of pundits and rival supporters who have sniggered and smirked at us all summer not giving us a chance, mightl be eating their words when they see this team in full flow.

Boring post incoming… It’s not just engagement from fans, it’s also reporters, sky etc so finding an optimal time when they’re not occupied with other stuff to maximise coverage increases engagement. I know it sounds a load of bollocks but it’s just the world we live in. So we rarely make announcements on match days. Depending on timings I’d also assume training takes priority over filming media bits if they’ve not been done yet since they’re straight into the team. Then there’s also a “schedule” in place, like announcing today, to then show their “first day in training” video tomorrow etc so there’s a flow of content in build up to a match day.
