Who is your best Blades goalkeeper?
I would go for Alan Kelly, followed by Simon Tracey and Paddy Kenny

From that list, I would go for Alan Kelly, based on his performances over a relatively large number of games played plus his loyalty to the club. Mel Rees is my second choice due to some superb performances over a short period of time, which were of some significance to the team and warmed the hearts of Blades supporters.

If that list is chronological I've seen keepers that I've never heard of actually play for us!

Voted for Jim Brown I thought he was great when I was a kid; didn't he get a call-up for Scotland (not that that was a badge of honour back then) while at the Lane? Objectively perhaps McAllister and Ned were probably the best I've seen.

A world class save by Simon Tracey at Old Trafford from a shot by Andrei Kanchelskis even had the Man U fans clapping is why he gets my vote. Promotion to the top flight with Trace as well. Many hot-headed moments as well guaranteed never a dull moment.
John "Budgie" Burridge comes in 2nd for me purely for his antics.
Worst andy Leaning.

Someone once told me that Tracey had the English record for red cards for a 'Keeper, is that true Darren?

Phil Jagielka...why's he not on the list...never lost with him in goal. FACT!!!

It's not a badge of honour now

As if Steve Conroy, Derek Richardson or Phil Kite will get a vote.
:tumbleweed:

1 Simon Tracey
2 Alan Kelly
3 Budgie

Not old enough to remember Tom McAllister.

Didn't Kozluk once go in the net during one of Warnock's first matches in charge?

I'm really straining my memory here.
