CONFIRMED Jesurun Rak-Sakyi joins on season long loan

I did say two weeks ago that Rak Sakyi & Cooper are high up on the list of targets and that I was confident of them both signing for us. Hopefully when the Osula sale is announced we can put our foot down on bringing these two in because they’d be great additions.

Not injured, think the plan was for him to break into the Palace team but it didn't happen.
So last year was kind of a wasted year for him......so this year is massive.

Southampton want to buy him, think they've offered 10 million and according to reports plan to play him in their 1st team in the Premier league
but Palace think he has a big future and prefer to see him develop on loan in the Championship rather than sell him.

It’s narrow I know but I just don’t see Wilder going with out and out wingers..

Replace the goalkeeper and that’s a very strong first 11.

Going off how we have lined up in pre season. I think this will be how we line up when everyone is fit and signed.

Very much agree..there's a big different in standard.

Also confidence and understanding plays a huge part in a defence.
United started on the back foot, due to not being prepared and they never truly recovered.

Another factor that doesn't get mentioned enough was......we had such a poor midfield last season
that the defence seemed to be always under pressure.

Anel was rubbish last season but wouldn't surprise me....that once we form a defensive formation then he'll be a top performer again.

Agree.....on paper an exciting starting 11....better than what we had last season.
However the squad/ bench still looks quite weak......we could do with a few more squad players.
However I'm pleased we've gone for quality over quantity.

Nope.
There was nothing from him that suggested he could do anything at Prem level or any level above L1.
He’s a poor player and we’ve had our legs pulled. He may well have been the best defender in a side the season before but you have to look who he was playing for and where then ended up.
He’s going towards his level

no i dont think hes a left sided centre back and thats all weve got rnd mcallum and burrows for left back could even see trusty being sold before the end of the window

The squad coming together now as the bedwetting woodworm retreat back to their rotting holes 😁

Seriously, the first 11 is looking decent and we need a couple more to cover key positions.

Let's not forget that we shouldn't expect too much too soon from a squad that is obviously yet to gel. However, it could be exciting with high scoring closely fought games until the side settles.

Can't wait for Preston.
