We have signed Oliver Dovin and he looks excellent. Been great with the ball at his feet so far. Commands his area well and knows how to catch the ball. Take your pick.

I think there are a lot of people over-rating Preston who are - as it stands - one of the poorest teams in the league. The one trick up their sleeve is being quite good defensively. But they still only managed 3 clean sheets at home last season and their final position only looked okay cos they won a mad amount of games in a row at start of the season. After that, they were pretty bad.

We are likely to be 5 points off the top if we don't beat Preston. Its not such a big thing being what will be described at the end of the season if we finish mid-table as a "rebuild and consolidation season" but the players can't let it get to them mentality if things don't gel within the first few games. Luckily or not depending on how we are going, there is an international break in September for the nations league.

I’ve looked at the first 11 we have and the squad that Preston have, taken into account our playing styles, taken all emotion out of my prediction and came to the objective decision that we will cruise past PNE so we will. I actually think Preston will be relegated so I do.

They finished 9th last season. Everyone said Coventry were amazing who finished one point ahead of them!

Have I told you about the time I went to Coventry- we were 2-0 up and the game was abandoned due to sky blue snow ? Went to watch the rematch and we lost 3-2 .
