Wilder said the only reason he wasn't playing the other night was because of his concussion needing 14 days before he was allowed to be involved again, which would have been Saturday. If he's not left, he'll back training.

What if the takeover is with the EFL, and the prospective owners would rather bag the first Osula installment than let the Prince toddle off into the sunset with it?

Yeah because it would be paid to the princes personal bank account wouldn’t it

Why is it when we buy someone it takes ages … but when we sell it goes through straight away … (checks as Osula transfer meltdown enters third week) … er …
He’s still on the SUFC website modelling training wear and CW said he would have played at Huddersfield had it not been for the concussion protocol. Every chance he’ll be in the squad at Preston.

Disappointed if deal off cos at £15m it the deal of the century

That's getting on to the sort of money in which an ambitious club would consider it - providing the add ons check out. Selling home grown can help with financial fair play a lot so it'd allow new owners to invest more if they wished too. It's all a factor.

You have to be careful with these clauses when selling to clubs with unlimited money however. Appearances, England caps, contract renewals, goals, the whole lot. If Osula goes on to do what they think he'll do the chances of him moving on are small. If he doesn't work out the sell on clause isn't worth much anyway. There's probably six or seven Prem clubs that don't have to sell for financial reasons.

I still can’t help feel this is a gift horse. If it wasn’t for the lack on incomings I would think people would be happy tos so Newcastle’s hands off

Having medical now at Newcastle, £10m + £5m add on, according to Newcastle world

This supposed misalignment between the current and prospective new owners highlights the importance of agreeing 'Interim Business Conduct Restrictions' when a deal is agreed/signed, to set-out the 'rules' under which the club operates during the period between a deal being signed and completed, the gap to enable the conditions precedent to be fulfilled e.g. regulatory approvals (in this case, the FA's).
Decision making authority and associated thresholds should be crystal clear in the agreement - if not, it tends to leads to situations like the one being reported, the result being paralysis of operations - not great when the squad remains depleted <1 week from the start of the season.

That seems to be superceded, by the latest info that the deal is 100% agreed, and 'only' EFL checks to be finalised.
There's clearly got to be a line in the sand drawn at an instant in time and any income and expenditure after that netted off.

Nope, any 'Interim Business Conduct Restrictions' would cover the period from the point of deal agreement/signing through to when the deal closes. The EFL approval remains outstanding (as far as we hear) and, I would assume, is a CP to the deal.
Decision making authority on transfers, sponsors, as well as working capital should all have been addressed in the agreement.
The only ways it would fall away are (i) if any other alternative arrangements are agreed, (ii) the deal closes or (iii) the long stop date is reached.

Think its £10m and £5m add ons (so j hear). Still a dcent price for a lad with raw potential.

As already discussed it depends where you sit with this one. If we had a full squad ready to go then I would be hoping the club turned the bid down. But... we nees funds to get in more players and the money will allow CW to do that. WO is a casualty of us not having a big enough squad as it stands and something has to give. Get it done (WO sale), wish him well, and then let CW bring in a number of players ASAP with the extra money.

That's what I said?

Had it confirmed it's a touch over £10m upfront as a fee, in installments obviously

No idea how easy or hard to reach the £5m add ons are.

Woooooooa.
I thought it was £15m and £5m add ons!?

Good news. Should be able to get a Ralph Lauren hoodie now and ditch the Nautica one 🤞
