After every match David Weir trots out the same 'I'm Disappointed'
For your information Mr Weir I'm Disappointed and many more on her are 'Disappointed'
  • I'm Disappointed because I thought you were the right man for the job - at present you are not even close to being the right man.
  • I'm Disappointed because every week your post match interview is a direct copy of the week's before.
  • I'm Disappointed because as a footballer of some repute you should know what you're doing but at present it's patently clear you do not have a clue.
  • I'm Disappointed because at best if we don't go down to Division Four we are already looking at another season in Division Three.
  • I'm Disappointed that with much less resources Russell Slade has managed to get Leyton Orient out of the blocks firing on all cylinders.
  • I'm Disappointed that you treat the Blades fans like idiots.
  • I'm Disappointed that you can't man up and admit 'You've got it wrong'
Mr Weir, grow a pair and ask for a bit of help - by God you need it ! Get someone in that knows what they are doing and perhaps you may learn a thing or two !
If not we are all going to be 'Disappointed'

Agree %1000000 percent with this. I'm still happy to afford him more patience to give a honest reflection of his ability as a Manager but one thing that really grinds my gears is his post match interviews every week. They come across as an arrogant statement of "I know what I am doing is right, you don't" despite the many reasons, none more so then the results, that what he thinks he is doing right is painfully wrong.

Have to agree with that, there's nothing worse than someone telling you something that's completely different to what you've seen with your own eyes. The guy either lives in fantasy land or he just lies, either way I dont want him managing us.

I'm disappointed he's still here, however a little birdy tells me he needs to win at Wolves convincingly or hes gone.

  • Agree with this point. At the moment, no he doesn't look like the right man, however, he's 8 games in.
  • I'm Disappointed because every week your post match interview is a direct copy of the week's before.
  • Agree to a certain extent, but when the result is the same every week, then the post match comments are going to be as well!
  • I'm Disappointed because as a footballer of some repute you should know what you're doing but at present it's patently clear you do not have a clue.
  • I don't think this is valid there is an equal amount of managers who have had successful and not so successful careers as players before taking up management. How successful they were as players should not be used as yard stick as to their management ability.
  • I'm Disappointed because at best if we don't go down to Division Four we are already looking at another season in Division Three.
  • Based on current form, yes of course. How many games in are we....8. 38 left.
  • I'm Disappointed that with much less resources Russell Slade has managed to get Leyton Orient out of the blocks firing on all cylinders.
  • Russell Slade has been in the job for 3years and 5 months. He's had time to get things working his way and now it's paying off. Last season they were 7th, the season before that 20th! Weir has had 8 games. Slade has been in charge for 183 games...he's lost more than a third of those.
  • I'm Disappointed that you treat the Blades fans like idiots.
  • I don't think he's told any lies in anything i've heard so i'm not quite sure what that means. He's sticking to his guns on formation etc, which by no means will please some, but I wouldn't say he's treating us like idiots.
  • I'm Disappointed that you can't man up and admit 'You've got it wrong'
  • This again could be related to his stubborness, in his eyes it's the right way to play, thing is you have to have the right tools available. He has some of the right tools, but he hasn't the time to oversee a revolution, has to be evolution.

This is true. I think his stubborness on tactics is proving his downfall. He's brought some of his own in and those he has are right for the positions they are playing in, however, the old guard such as Doyle and the back four have been asked to adapt which has clearly caused problems given the mistakes some have made such as Harry. I think he needs to realise what each players strengths are and build a formation around those best players. Then when you can bring someone in to play the way you really want to play, then slowly evolve the formation. He's come in and and gone straight from A to Z without taking in B through Y.

Really? So a scrappy 1-0 away win won't do? Your bird is tweeting nonsense, Ted!

Personally I was thinking there's no way he'd get sacked either way after Wolves as we'd be expected to lose, I thought it'd be after we lose to Crawley but Ive got a few reasons to believe this person other than just being hopeful so we'll see. Speaking to him definitely cheered me up anyway. I'm just worried about who the next man will be now

It certainly won't be the likes of Poyet like most seem to think!

Nope I agree, its such a shame as Weir is the first manager we've appointed since Warnock who Ive actually been confident/excited about, all the other names getting banded about at the time were terrible. Sven and Keane seem to be the names about this time which again fills me with dread. Itd have to be Sven out of those 2 though, did rate him when he managed England and he must have had some tactics to have got Ulrika in the sack

He's obviously turning down Sunderland in favour of us...

Not to mention he's still in dispute with Brighton and a new job will jeopardise that.

Everyone got Ulrika in the sack. Exhibit A - Stan Collymore

Surely McCabe still has Di Matteo on speed dial? ;)

Speaking of excuses and delirium, have you read this?

At least wait until April 1st

"Marlon made things happen and created opportunities, we had more chances in the first hour on Saturday than we have in most matches this season.

That article must just be there to piss us off. Marlon did very little and we made what, 3 chances? although I suppose that is more than we have all season.

WEIR OUT!!!!

The really scary bit is he only has to win one more game and half the fans would be willing to let him take us down to the 4th division.
All on the strength of two wins and the promise of building a team to play " real football", but if we can't get the players to play "real football" in this division how the hell do we get them in the 4th.
It's crazy and it's all going to end in tears, again

Exactly my point - in the article Weir states that United had 20 -25 shots on goal yet the same BBC post stated we had 12 shots on goal of which only 3 on target
Get your facts right Mr Weir, don't exaggerate statistics - that's telling lies
Don't treat us like fools
Once you start telling lies to the fans you have lost them - sorry to say Mr Weir you're on a hiding to nothing!

It's on a par with Bryan Robsons assessment of the 0-3 defeat to Stoke "we were in it until the first goal".

The first goal was on the 6th Minute.

I also don't like how he makes a positive statement of acknowledging responsibility, but then contradicts that by going into an excuse. Perhaps he interviewed extremely well, he had all us salivating about his plans and ambitions for the club and his dealings in the transfer window have been positive.

The article is from the Blades Player interview. The interviewer (Andy Pack i think) won't dare to say anything critical and massages Weir ego by saying shit like 'terrible bad luck today Mr. Weir', 'we were great weren't we', 'we created loads of chances didn't we', 'Marlon was good wasn't he'.

I would have far more respect for the guy if he said it like it was !!

His record is abysmal, just four points from a possible twenty four with only five goals scored three by central defenders and two from midfielders (one of which is no longer with us !)
How can he say it's getting better - we have only scored one goal in the last six games

For your information Mr Weir it's got to get a lot bloody better and quickly !

I normally avoid being to critical of managers and never shout for one to be sacked after so few games but weir is doing himself no favours with his post match comments, simply making stats up won't convince people, he is lying to the fans ! . The fans are the club, without us he'll soon be out of work. You're not daft mr weir, don't treat us like we are !

With respect sotonblade, Weir has changed nothing, he has not gone a to z, b to y, he has just allowed a dire team to fester, as he stands like a statue on the touchline in a suit, unable to even show the remotest sign of motivating the team. Whatever has he been doing in that dressing room? The team no longer, aside from Harry and George, even acknowledge the fans at entry to the pitch. An utter disgrace.

Has he not changed the formation and virtually half of the starting 11???

"Where to good to be down here, all we need is that one win to give the team confidence and we'll start shooting back up the table"..

The last time I heard that one was the season we came down. :tumbleweed:

I suppose shuffling one crap left back for either of two other crap left backs around, tinkering with midfield, etc, counts as change . It is, but like for crap like.
