So if it funds Cooper, the Newcastle defender and the Wolves right back, you'll be fine? You'll not question whether we could have bought them anyway, and you'll make peace with having Moore and Brewster as our forwards for 40 plus games.
There a lot of questions need answering like how have we been in prem for 3 out of last 5 years and are apparently potless?? But that’s for another thread,

We’re in desperate need of a keeper, 100% need 2 more forwards, can’t rely on Brewster sounds like Moores injured already.

If it meant , Cooper , Worrall and A N Other coming in I would reluctantly sell , I would not sell if it was to cover costs I’d hopefully move someone else on .
As ever UTB !
Problem is we still needed another even with Osula staying

Now going on that list we need 4

Shrewd business from Wilder, this is his forte
get 10 to 15 for what to us is a luxury player ie more potential than delivery
then use the 10m to get in 2 3 or even 4 replacements who can do a job this season

happy with the new faces so far , expect 4 or 5 more at least

Yes because we are not in a position to sign unproven players for thar money. But he would only need to score 10 goals this season to be worth double
The thing is he's never scored more than 2 league goals at league 1 level in a team who should've been banging them in at that level.

Not saying he wouldn't have got 10 this season, but that's only 3 less than mcburnie got in a team that got 91 points so the odds on it happening wouldn't be great imo.

The only positive for me here is that at least we haven't fucked up Osula's contract situation like we did with Ndiaye and Jebbo so we have got a reasonable fee this time.
Should we have got Jebbison and Ndiaye to sign new contracts at gunpoint?

10 million is unlikely to fund the signings of 3/4/5 players at least not permanently the whole fee won’t be reinvested nor should it a decent chunk will need to be kept back to run the club and that’s sensible.

If it frees up fees to sign Cooper that’s a start cross everything he doesn’t get injured and if he doesn’t he’s an asset that’s likely to increase in value. But the club is going to have to get creative with whatever money is left after that yes loans might strengthen us a bit but at least some of this money needs to go on acquiring permanent assets that are ours and can hopefully increase in value because if there’s no takeover and no promotion we’ll be needing to sell again next year and we’re running low on playing assets.

We’ve had to raise a not insignificant amount of fees from sales this summer whilst ditching a lot of high earners off the books there’s no reason to think we might not need to raise similar funds next season. The players we’d be likely to sell in that scenario are obvious but we need to start acquiring assets now well really we needed to it last summer but were on the whole unsuccessful. If the takeover is stalling and the Prince staying and selling a high value asset would suggest it’s likely that he is then the short term thinking has to stop.
We've got a chairman who thinks he's selling up so doesn't care about anything other than the short-term (and never has).

And we've got a manager who probably thinks he needs a good start to persuade the new owners to keep him so he doesn't care about anything other than the short-term.

Perfect situation for selling potential and gambling on players with recent ACLs and older players. I don't think Abdullah or Wilder have given more than 5 minutes thought to what we might look like in 3 years time. 😞

I think Wilder probably understands or at least his rhetoric about the importance of this window suggests he does but ultimately the final decision isn’t his. I can why he might view the Osula sale as necessary to get other deals done but at the minute we’re bleeding playing assets owned by the club and not bringing many in.

I think this is a good deal, £10m for a promising youngster, promise can go both ways, on one way dcl, Maguire, walker, and quite frankly that's pretty rare or the other way ravel morrison Brewster and countless others, we are strapped for cash, God knows how but we are, and last season was screwed before it kicked off for the same reason, so we desperately need players and a lot of them and £10m would buy some, and if we kept him I don't think that him alone could turn a season around

If your having to sell Osula just to get a couple of loans in then literally no chance of getting another 4 or 5

Good business if u ask me... Hes not scored a goal for first team apart from Cup or friendlies.... Simple really having Newcastles pants down.... Yes he might become a world beater but I am sure we will have a sell on included.... Win win for utd

Players and agents stall the deals ect we have money for a couple of signings we out selling osula but havin a extra 10mill is a help to get better targets... Or better loan players... Utd playing a game with other teams with money.... Or everyone we want will go up more £££ every time we sign anyone... Money game....

We need one if not two strikers unless Marsh makes the step up. Let's go for Ugbo just for a laugh! 🤣

So you’re saying that PA would take 6 million from the sale for himself? Have you got a precedent for this? It’s ok, you can copy and paste the section of the accounts for me that backs up your claim if that helps?
Irv I would kindly ask you to read the full transcript before commenting as you very clearly didn’t read it all. Shows your just trying to have a dig for no reason but each to their own.

I said El Accounto says we need to raise £20million. Then informed that we aren’t at that figure yet while Janksy said we will invest those funds in players while I said I doubt we will invest £10m on players. As we will obviously keep some back for the club.

But you carry on moaning at people 👍🏻

We’ve just paid 3 million rising to 6 million for a good league one left back in Burrows how many players are people expecting 10 million to buy? That’s assuming that the whole 10 million is made available for signings which almost never happens and assuming that the 10 million is the initial payments and not what the deal could rise to.

He'd their pants down here. He's done next to nowt. Hopefully the money will be used a la Brooks, get some decent players in and get that big lovely P or even a C

Blaster was at Port Vale, let's cash in there too.
Let's see what we can get for the academy.
One day we will. Hopefully for a record amount and reinvest it. That's how these things work for a club our size regardless of owner or league position It's all about getting maximum value v impact on the side. Losing Osula for good money when he hasnt made a impact yet is not too bad.

Is this actually just a rumour or have they actually expressed an interest ?
When radio Sheffield journalists comment on it it's pretty much confirmed along with the star, sky and the telegraph!

50/50 on this. He has great pedigree to become a fantastic striker or he could be another Jordan slew. But we will always be that club that produces quality youth players to sell. Atleast this time we are actually getting decent money for them

Have we done a Jurgen Klopp? Sold a could be a goal machine, Brewster, on nothing more than limited playing time with not much success. Other than the U17 or 18 world cup, where he played alongside Foden and Gallagher and was made to look great. Are we going to pull someone's, Howe, pants down. The thought is quit delicious!!!

No , you didn’t say we would keep some back for the club. You actually said
If he goes for £10million we would sign the Goalkeeper Cooper for £3/4m and the rest to Prince Abdullah.

Which is a very different thing.

And perhaps you could show us where I said that we will invest those funds in players. I’ll wait.

But I did suggest that you might be struggling with short term memory. Either that, or you make things up.

Think we need 3 strikers in minimum..Moore n Brewster won't be able to handle the workload.

its added to what we get , to us just now its a player we can utilise our assets better
Wilder will get in a forward a bit older 24 25 owls for instance got in 9 players yet to spend a million , thats desperation, sheffield Freebies is a suitable name for them

Why Isit a different thing?

I even gave you my source that we needed to raise £20million. If you want to take it another way then maybe you should ask the question, instead of your strange little rant 😂

No, we should've offered them contracts earlier than we did. Leaving it to the last minute was stupid beyond belief.
They had contracts offerd but didn't want them... Agents n money speak for them self.... Football isn't a game anymore young players offerd silly money.... It's like u bein offerd 3 times more to do same job somewere else... What would you do???

Selling younger players for decent money is great and I’m glad we tied him down to a contract and got a decent fee as a result.

But what did Osula show last season that N’daiye didn’t in 21/22?

Obviously I say this now with the benefit of hindsight, but surely any smart operators in football reward outstanding talent with new contracts.

No rant at all. Just calmly highlighting your multiple inaccuracies.

Now, would you like to show us where I said, anywhere, that we will invest those funds in players? Or was that another lapse of memory?
