On one hand it seems cheap, on the other it’s £3m more than BBD’s supposed fee. We need to raise funds to rebuild so if push comes to shove, but I’d rather sell Souza first.

Lad is one of the hottest striking prospects in Europe. He scores double figures this season he is easily worth double that. We have just got him on a long contract why on earth would we sell him for cheap.

This is the problem. Ideally we would have a couple of players we can sell for good fees. But again, are failing to sell players. So we have to cash in on players like Osula, who we would ideally benefit keeping for a couple of years. We are just sitting around, hoping someone will take a punt on Anel or Souza. Southampton sold 200 million the summer they went down. Leeds have cleared 50 million and could easily raise another 50. Take out Hamer and we wouldn't get 50mill for the whole squad.

It's the Sheffield United way surely you know that the sale of Calvert Lewin a prime example

Astounding that fans are happy to sell him for that when you look at the money we have spunked on strikers, over 60 mill spent on Mcburnie, Brewster, Burke, Troare alone.

Lad has potential to be levels above any of those players

I wouldn't be 'happy' to sell him but if we can build a squad more capable to achieve promotion this season by selling him then maybe it's worth looking at the bigger picture. If selling Osula meant we could buy a good keeper, centre half and attacking player for example then we're overall a lot stronger. Yes he could be worth £50m one day but promotion would be worth a lot more than that.

It's a tough one this. He's young, lots of potential, could score 20 this season, could be worth 50 mil in a few seasons.......all could, no guarantees. He could go to Newcastle for 10 mil, could thrive, could be sold on for 60 mil....more could, no guarantees.
We all seeing the potential and what we could lose or gain. Short term versus long term decisions like this are very tough. Just hope Wilder and the owners make the right decision......what happened to in Wilder we trust? Right now I have to trust Wilder and the owners as they see him more than we do.

Well if this takeover is done we won't even need to sell. Especially if Anel or Souza goes

Will it? Every time we go up we seem to end up more skint
That's more because of mismanagement of funds, not because we don't get more money. The alternative 2 years ago was we go in administration and more than likely would have sold anything worth owt just to balance the books.

Absolutely disgraceful that we are again failing to sell players. What are the club playing at? Why aren’t they holding a gun to the heads of other clubs? Shoes off!!!

Setting aside discussions of value and finances I’ll just be really sad to see him go if he leaves. I’ve enjoyed watching him so much for the 21’s and was really looking forward to watching him do it in front of a packed house at the Lane

My take.

Be fucking crazy to take it.

Nice cheap (in comparison to some) fairly long contract, yes he’s still learning but unless he gets a serious injury that fee is only going to go up.

We are under no pressure to sell him so if they are serious and it becomes a money thing we match his wages offered and add another 2 years on. Extra earned through performance, so with a goal he earns even more etc. there’s the incentive to work even harder.

But under no circs do we sell unless it’s absolute crazy money by even premier league standards, Strikers are the most expensive asset to buy, especially academy grown in the UK. So tell em to go away unless they are serious, and I wouldn’t even look below £40m.

That’s not to say I think he’s that good, but we should have learned from the likes of DCL and Walker.

Forgive me - is that first sentence tongue in cheek?
If not, based on what exactly?
