Probably Robinson.
Yeah I’m not saying it won’t be Robinson, just that the signing of Burrows and McCallum doesn’t mean RND is going to be out for a further sustained period of time with his injury. He’ll battle it out with Robinson and Trusty for the LCB spot in a back four, in my opinion of course.

Sorry if I’m being thick here but even in a back 4 you need a Left-sided centre-back no?
yes of course we do but rnd has never played that role and that was my point i can only see him playing lcb in a 3 no way wilder will risk somebody with no experience playing in a back 4 there

Probably right.

I think he’s capable of adapting- and if he doesn’t have to make marauding runs down the left it will probably assist with keeping his hamstrings intact!

we dont need 3 lcb if anel goes thats 3 lcbs and 0 rcbs unless we bring worrall and gilchrist in who can both play there ive serious concerns about rnds fitness certainly for the start of the season

Yes, but I don't think it's as important in a back 4 if the left sided CB is left footed (take Guehi for example, who is right footed but plays the left CB role in Palace and England's back 4) as they're not pushing out and joining the flanks as much

Maybe I’m a defender purist then as I like my left-side to be left-footed. Guehi is an awesome player so could play anywhere and do well.

yeah you could be right especially if were going 4231 with 2 pivotal midfielders in front of the back 4 mind still wouldnt suprise me to see trusty moved on

I think Birmingham would take him back tomorrow if he was available- they are spending big it seems, whether he’d want to drop a league is another matter. Maybe a move to the MLS would appeal to him.

Some random bloke on Twitter has posted something about 10P.M. I'm going to pretend that it's confirmation that burrows is signing, when actually fact it's probably the timer for when his tea is ready

Hamer going?! 😆 I wouldn't be laughing if he did mind!

It's an Arabic page with 200 odd followers, what the hell are they likely to know unless the Prince has told them himself?

It's an Arabic account. Can instantly work it out from the bio. This is the only recent post that is at all in English.

I really don't know what they were going for with that one.

O'Hare looks brilliant. But he needs movement and pace around him. Players bombing forward, attacking space. With a back four, two holding midfielders and a back to goal target man we must make sure we're having enough pace and athleticism in other positions. I haven't seen enough of Burrows to comment, but I would have preferred someone comment he's a flying wing back...

Wilder's promotion teams had enough about them to get by without too much pace. We were generally a bit better than other teams and developed a real identity and our own playing style, which caused enough problems with every player contributing offensively and defensively. Hope we manage to do that again, but I think it's a good back up plan to at least have players available with specific physical, technical and mental attributes. At the moment we seem a bit reliant on the likes of Osula, Brooks, Brewster really making the most of what we get from O'Hare's brilliance.

Tbf even with a back 4 we still seem to be encouraging our LB and RB to bomb forward.

Certainly Seriki and to a lesser extent McCallum were still offering overlaps

True, although we've been able to completely dominate the opposition we've faced in pre season so far. I think it'll be tougher when the season starts and hopefully the next couple of games will give us a better indication of what's ahead.

I'd say his 6 goals 15 assists says it all
