Was great during the promotion season and sauntered forwards like an old Bash.

Hopefully he's over his illness, can gain some confidence and push on this year.

Always liked a bit of Anel in the back.

I lost respect for this lad twice. His response to not wearing that armband but then also just basically not playing to his obvious potential many a time last season.

i know he was not the same player without a strong presence next to him but even so, he just lost heart - and that is not excusable.
 
I think him staying could benefit him and the club. He had a bad year and clubs may be sceptical now about his true level. Impressing this season in a weaker division might be the perfect stage for him to show what he can do and fulfill his dream of joining a big club.
 
Wilder said something about an unfortunate incident involving Anel, any news on what this was?!

I also recall that in his signing interview he referred to us as a ‘stepping stone’, he’s never hidden it.

Too many of our fans buy into the ‘once a Blade, always a Blade’ hyperbole and get offended when players act like players!

He was considerably worse than Jack Robinson and often even worse than Trusty. He was an absolute abomination last year, truly

Now he's realised he was shit last year and nobody wants him, he'll come slithering around toadying up to us Blades fans and currying favour again, now he realises he's stuck here.
 
When he’s on his game he is one of the top 5 centre backs in this division. If he starts enjoying his football again and playing like he can do then he can only be an asset this coming season.
Either that or we sell him for north of 12 million then I’m happy either way.
For me, everyone gets a clean slate and a start over- last season was horrendous for everyone involved but I’m not going to allow it to make me bitter, twisted and full of vitriol for anyone who pulls on the red and white.

Probably the league's worst defender. He blew his chance at using Blades as a stepping stone by being lazy, throwing in the towel and putting in zero effort. As soon as he realised this was gonna be a tough season, he waved the white flag and surrendered, banking on his past reputation to snag him a new team.

If I was Wilder, I'd put him in the reserves all season. Teach him a lesson.

23 year old lad comes in, bosses champ, thinks he's amazing. Gets found out in prem, sulks because he's getting peppered every week and not good enough for prem and your response is to punish him further? Nice.

I'd be having a calm word with him, tell him last year was difficult, we were shit, have another go in champ with prem experience and go again.
