Still think with decks clear he’s got a chance to attract the right players for almost guaranteed 1st team every week, if he can land burrows and gilcrist the team will start to look an attractive place for other loan professionals wanting to be part of a top 6 race. I think we’ve shaken off last season as square pegs in round holes due to poor buys and poor contracts.

If rumours are true the biggest anchor we had has been addressed ie the wage structure. Wilder seemed relish in getting players on low wages but it proved to be you get what you pay for. Now, if we are being realistic we are in the game imho

This fella better be the white Roberto Carlos for the amount of effort it's taking to sign him.

Feels like he's been built up that much now that people are inevitably going to be disappointed in him if he doesn't pull the numbers he did last year which he almost certainly won't at a higher standard of football.

Issue is Mcullum has looked really good! Played at a top championship side. Where as Burrows has had a breakout season in League one.

We've basically gone from having 2 really good right wing backs and no decent left wing backs to having potentially 2 really good left wing backs and no decent right wing backs.

Having said that shackleton and seriki looked decent last night but that probably has more to do with the standard of opposition.

We still need at least 1 more good RWB, either signed for a decent amount or a good quality loanee.

This is Sheffield United we are talking about.

We will sign a centre half in Gilchrist on loan call him a right back and that will be us done.

Thats why I was saying as much as I really hope we get Burrows I hope that's not at the expense of being able to bring in a decent new keeper.

We can live without another left back atm but we can't live with the current keeper situation in my opinion.

Norwich fans said that Mcallum has the ability and has played further forward at times. One of them even suggested he might be best converted to a number 10 as he’s that comfortable on the ball.

In a 4231 we may actually see both. Could be quite cool if they were interchanging positions.

Twitter sources said that on Sunday. Wilder said it last night. 2 very different things. On Saturday Wilder only said that they were looking to get some deals done this week.
