So McB and Burrows in next week .Then we spend the bogal cash for a RB and worral

I would be happy with that. McB splits opinion, but I like him and at this level he will undoubtedly get goals, especially as he won't be carrying the burden as the main striker every game.

I can see us offering Dozzell a contract too, which bolsters CM.

Then we have to prioritise a GK, and I think there will be loans to cover the right side of defence, and attacking mid positions/wings.

Well thought out sensible post. Gives me warm fuzzy feeling.

If all true, I'm looking forward to seeing McB and Moore. Moore being a more traditional target man should allow McB to play freer, dropping to link play, as he did as Swansea.

Good point on loans. I expect the good relationships with Man City, Man Utd and Liverpool to be utilised again.

I think it’s a fair debate to suggest whether Wilder has had his day as a manager, one thing that can’t be questioned is how much better our recruitment is with him.

Yes he’s rolled the dice on a few expensive mistakes in the past but his transfer windows have set us up with a squad for the future.

The 5 that have & are set to sign so far are all ours on long term contracts with potential sell on value. That’s exactly what our club needs, not expensive loans & foreign punts like Slimane, Larocci, Traore. If we had a scouting network like Brighton & Brentford I’d be all for that approach but we don’t.

He also didn’t let contracts run down, Lundstrum was the only one this happened too. Regularly we managed to get players signed back up on deals in advance of expiring.

We might be bang average next season and Wilder will have to face the music if we are, but at least we’re attempting to get a squad back together….just 6 more needed now.

Looking at the players we have brought in and are looking to bring to the club this could and should be the best transfer window ever

this is the strangest deal I’ve seen for a while. It’s been on and off more times than John wicks safety catch.

Currently off.
Thought you were in the army... What do you know about deals? Let me guess you're now a powerful venture capitalist?

He's got a wand of a cross on him, would be placing it on big Kiefs noggin all match long, however he looks fairly timid in the tackle when people running at him.
Those crosses look superb. I'd be surprised if Wilder wanted him if he's always weak in the tackle.

I think Wilder is doing some great wheeling and dealing. He's been given fuck all, can't keep the players he wanted, lost 16 and he's got a first team together that will survive comfortably in The Championship. We are still miles off where we need to be in terms of having a successful season but we still have the loans to come and hopefully some money from selling Souza and Anel.

Think this is going to be a consolidation season though unless things start moving quickly

I think it’s far too early to right off this season, the old cliche that it’s a long old season and we’ve got plenty of time to get the players we need

I'm a glass half empty fan, but I don't see it like that.
If we can keep Anel and Vini get Burrows and resign McBurnie get a Goalkeeper, right back and center half possibly a winger with a bit of pace if im being greedy. We are surely top 6 at very least, don't want to go all Porktalk and say top 2.
A midfield of Vini, Hamer, Arblaster and O'Hare with McBurnie and Moore up top with Osula and Brewster as back up that's tasty.

I'm not writing it off. Only saying that unless things move soon we will be looking at a consolidation season with the squad we currently have

McBurnie coming back would be huge. I am concerned we have no fire power if Moore gets injured. I'm not convinced by Osula or Brewster at all so hopefully they come good.

To be honest there are a lot of players who are unknowns in terms of how they will fare in The Championship. If 2 or 3 of the youngsters prove to be worthy squad players then great but it's a big ask. The first 11 doesn't look far off but behind that we're really short. Hopefully we bring a few more in now.
