I've negotiated that one will get a Bayern kit with Kane and the other will get Inter Miami with Messi if they earn it this summer (dhgate of course).

I don't fully understand kids wanting Miami shirts - is it partly because of EA/FIFA? And I can't believe how many Al Nassr shirts I see with Ronaldo on the back.

All the primary school kids are doing it. It's because they're a generation raised on YouTube videos so they mostly follow players rather than teams. Those kids are interested in Messi, not Miami. My lad's mate has got Ronaldo shirts from about 5 different clubs - all DHGate knock-off, of course.

Case in point: son's absolute favourite kit to wear is the LA Galaxy Billy Sharp kit I got him last summer. His early outings to BDTBL seem to have made him more a fan of Billy Sharp than of Sheffield United. He'll probably want to go to at least one Donny game this season so he can see Billy play again. But he's said he wants to try the Lane again as well, so I'm playing the long game.

My boys (4 and 7) can reel off a list of footballers such as Messi, Ronaldo, Neymar, Salah, Kane, McBurnie, Arblaster etc but struggle to remember the teams. They just want the players name and number on the back, the team itself just comes with it.

I didn't say it did matter, nor that it should be the same time.

I said it was unusual that they'd specifically announce an exact time for one kit, and not the other. I then said that it is United, so any logic around it is probably unwarranted anyway.
