I guess thats the way we look at things differently.

McBurnie got his stats against Man City, Liverpool, Arsenal and Chelsea etc, while Moore got his against Middlesbrough, Plymouth, Hull and QPR etc

In my opinion, the only comparable stat is the appearances (which looks to favour Moore), as he was only at Ipswich half a season so looked to be available more.

Yep. McBurnie was doing much the same in a much less successful team producing fewer chances against exponentially harder opposition. That the raw numbers are basically the same should tell you everything you need to know about the relative talents of the two players. Naturally, the one that the numbers say is objectively better is the one that much of the fanbase wants to fuck off, while they have a stiffy for the worse one!

One other key factor to consider though - fitness and availability. I don't think many would have an issue with McB if he'd been available for >50% of games last season.

I want both. But think Moore is better for us overall as he’s more mobile.

I think many would, given he played in 23/41 games?

Ideally if you want to compare stats between Mcburnie and Moore, compare Mcburnie from last season to Moore from the season before when he was part of the Bournemouth team that stayed up under O'Neil.

Not sure about this one. On one hand he could tear up this division with the right service. On the other hand is he one with a future for us if we get promoted? Tough one! Nothing against him personally, just not sure if he is the direction we need to be looking at rather than a young , future star!! I know, we just got rid of Jebbison!

If he helps us to a promotion he can then be replaced.

Is it not best to make sure we do get promoted first? I agree that I want to see us bringing in younger salable assets but I think moore could be a great buy to be honest. Have to admit I wasn't that bothered about Matt Richie but that's more because he barely played last season, whereas Moore did and scored a few. We do need a few older heads in the squad as well.

he would be here short term to do a job just like madine personally think it would be a great signing for us he will be a real handful for championship defenders and like mcburnie will be very handy for opponents corners no brainer for me

There was a line in the out of contract statement that we put out saying that we were still talking to his representatives.

Sounds like he’s waiting for a better offer but none are forthcoming so he’s waiting it out with us.
Yeah, tbh I'd have both of em if possible!

It was just the way people were comparing and saying they'd rather have McBurnie but i personally think he's not resigning.

Cheers, just found it. Hopefully it's just a case of him talking to them but does feel like they have the edge at the minute, presumably because we can't get the deal finalised due to ongoing takeover.

Hull have just sold Philogene too so they've got plenty of cash. Shame if we do lose out to Hull City though for a player! If Mcburnie stays a d us got we'll be ok but neither is certain at all right now.

Absolute scenes if the new owners sanction a move for BBD to come back...........

"Aunt Em?? Toto??"

We cannot compete with Hull 😂

Mid table be a good season next season.

I wouldn't have been opposed to him joining as one of 4-5 strikers - he had a not dissimilar effect at Ipswich as Madine did during the first promotion season. A capable lump, effective in both penalty areas, as well as being able to hold the ball-up - something the squad was totally devoid of last season
