What's our collective view on the quietness out of BDTBL?

I just moved to the Dayton, Ohio area so a lot of my attention has been concentrated on that.

So, I haven't spent a lot of time keeping up with events but I do wonder, as its July 1 already, what the lack of activity, outgoings excepted of cource, is meaning.

We have just a few weeks leftr before the season starts and I have no idea what the team will look like on August 9 at Preston.

Thoughts?

The team will look like 11 players on a patch of turf, one in goalie outfit and 10 in red n white stripes, there'll be a little oyl at side of pitch where staff sit and mooch around the area, there'll be thousands of faceless hooligans ranting from the sidelines.

I expect quiet about the "takeover", assume it has to be that way and we didn't say anything officially about Dozy.

On transfers, I can't see any Championship clubs have made massive moves as yet, most have more outgoings than incomings and only Burnley have spent real money and they seem to be because of agreements from last year.

Yes we have a HUGE rebuild to get through, but we also have a very young talented core to build on.

Pigs have signed 6 up to now according to my fb And names getting linked all or shop with em. Granted I’ve never heard of any of em except lad from Bournemouth which is a good signing for them but they are at least doing something. Us on the other hand .. give it a couple of week but we could do with players in for pre season starting really

Same old same old incoming transfers delayed due to possible takeover, While other clubs sign any player we are interested in signing.
Here we go again, have been here before, haven't we?
Which players that we are “interested in signing” have been signed by other clubs?

Don't think anyone has heard of any of them mind.

There’s no takeover and, hence, no money. It’s like the last weekend before payday when you stay in watching porn when all your mates go out except there isn’t going to be a payday.

And there’s no porn.

Just seen an online post saying takeover is OFF!
Buyers are frustrated at the hierarchy at the club stalling on the time it's taking.
Don't know how true this is.

Takeover - back on.

You heard it here first.

I think be quiet about the takeover. Fine.

Leaving your players in the dark both men’s and women’s, and leaving them in the lurch about where they’ll be next season isn’t good practice, and not a good look.

Not funding a pre season tour, not keeping the fans in the loop about certain things and not paying your bills to suppliers is disgraceful.

I think the club is quiet because the people running it haven't got a clue what to do.

It's like de vaju all over again. Players missing pre season and taking time to accustomise during game time at the start of the regular season.
It got us into difficulties last time out and no doubt will do so again. Replace 'talented core' with 'inexperienced youngsters' and you have problems.
The main worry for me is the fact that the official squad is only 17 strong with only one goalkeeper - Garbage, and he appropriately sports the number 13 on his back.
Out of the 17 squad players over half have only played a handful of games last season and scored only a handful of goals between them. Keep the faith.

Re-writing history for some people (not saying you) on Wilder’s first spell he fell out because of a spat about not being given money for some signings. Heckingbottom comes in and is depicted as a ‘yes’ man by fans but Heckingbottom starts to show disquiet about the board and they’re approach to signings and running the club etc and he’s sacked and replaced by Wilder coming back saying he’s learnt some lessons (one of which is don’t whinge about the lack of signings or quality of players) and he is now excited about transforming the club (with loans) saying we are a big pull for all lot of players. I think the truth is that the only thing that’s a big pull is our plonkers.
Doubt yours is a big pull mate

No chance, United will do what they always do

They'll wait for the players that most League One clubs have ignored to avoid having to compete with another club and embarrassingly lose out to.

Then they'll get this fairly average League One nobody to tell the local press about what a dream it is to sign for United, when the only other club interested was Northampton Town
