The Best of the Rest?

We are only half way through the season, and still in contention for a play off spot - how?...........I've no idea how, given the points we have thrown away - but we still are!.
I know we haven't got a 'pot to piss in', but "if" who's the best out there in terms of competition?
GK - Sam Johnstone by a street mile (.........although happy to hear about this Adam Davies development/news!).
CH - Gary Cahill.........we missed a real trick on him when he left Palace......& Bolton! (yes, I know he's a pig!, and Bournemouth are wobbling.)
CM - Tom Lawrence...........last week - enough said
CF - Keiffer Moore - again missed a trick on this kid when he left Wigan.
That said, and I was down after watching that capitulation at Preston on Tuesday night (if felt like a loss, and probably would have been if we played 5 mins longer!) - we are only half way through the season, we have ALL the big dogs to play at BDTBL, Brewster now looks like a handful & with Illiman & hopefully MGW - we have enough to at least make the play offs?
Its toxic at times - I get that...............but lets get behind em, and give it our best collective shot.

What do you think "our budget" for transfers (and wages) actually is Leobolly?

"our budget" has to be sustainable - I get that.............but surely it must match some ambition? We still have a decent chance of the play offs, despite playing shite for half a season, and giving at least 12 points away! So, get rid of some/all of the dead wood (excellent start with Verrips & Olsen - two of the worst keepers I have ever seen........and yes I went to WBA away this season & still have nightmares!). Moose, Mc'not'jabbed, & Guedioura, Freeman, Stevens, (I'd even off load George if we got a reasonable offer) and Burke (gone)..............surely there is a few quid there to burn?............................and also - get Jebbo back please!
