I'm a simple soul and in nice simple language could someone tell me how much we earned last season in Prem Payments and the P/P next season and then the 2 seasons of solidarity payments afterwards. Then why can't we afford a brass farthing to buy anybody.

Last season we'll have earned over £100m from the various different gubbins that comprise the Premier League financial package.

We got £3.4m in prize money just for being shit and finishing 20th.

To keep it simple, earned shit loads,
But we need to pay bills which are also shit loads
But we also bought other stuff which cost shit loads like bits of the land and we borrowed money off some Aussie for that
So when shit loads of money comes in from the parachute payments, we have to pay shit loads of other stuff off

I seem to remember someone mentioning we had the 3rd biggest transfer fund this season, without a takeover. Not sure where the skint rumour comes from, our main problem is that we have so many players to buy and the change of ownership issue

I think it's not that we've got the fund it's that we've got the potential to spend if we wish (which we won't) due to the amount of players we've released

It's likely paying off McWobblegob for the land next to the Kop and whatever we develop there, same with the land for the new training ground and the training ground itself, the remainder will be absorbed by the wage bill, irrespective of relegation pay cuts, so that we can retain who we do have left and pay the wages of the free agents that we're shopping for in the bargain bin.

As clear as shit ?

So in simplified terms we've got fuck all!

We are hamstrung financially cos 4 years ago we decided to blow all the money we had on Brewster, this generation south stand

Thought that was Moose. He tried to eat enough to be as big as the south stand…..

Always amazes me how other clubs can spend well and have much bigger wage bills then us season after season in the prem but because we bought brewster that didn't work out we are doomed for the next 3 generations after 3 years premier league moneh
Do those clubs have rich owners willing to cover significant losses season after season?
If so, be amazed no more.

We were in an embargo cause we couldn't pay an instalment on brewster, had we not gone up, we'd have had to strip everything out to survive, so we think we know where the prem money went when we had to sell our best 2 players last season in order to fund wages for those that remained...

Think you could do my end of year accounts?

Forest and Southampton owners aren't worth nowhere near the rest and maintain premier league status while paying the going rate.

ITV Digital was what fucked us.

Remember the fucking logo being painted on the John St steps.

Don’t think it fucked us up as we didn’t spend anything. We were already in shit.

Remember when 30 people tuned in to watch Forest vs Crewe, billed as some big game.

Bradford and Barnsley almost going bankrupt.

Great times. Thanks for the mems raul

The Prince has borrowed money left right and centre to pay bills in affect we were (probably still are) paying bills from a season ago like when we had the embargo the season ticket money paid that bill but realistically that should have gone on new players and wages. Because the club has been up for sale for some time we’ve been stuck in limbo and there has been no forward planning on the playing side just look at the contracts side! only building the club via bricks and mortar so to speak to make it more saleable.
