Few hours later he is proven right and still met with ridicule.

Accountant informed us all that we are in a half way house at the moment. With do we wait for the new owners to spend big money or go with the current budget.

But the current budget doesn’t allow for a player like Alan Browne.

I hope you are right but I don’t see us making a signing in the next week or so.

The world of football business doesn’t move like social media and this forum with knee jerk reactions. Agents and club representatives will have been working on loads of deals and scenarios before the end of last season. When the planets align we will be told either this deal goes through and money/players come in or you’ll see the the club go the way of Bury eventually. There’s too much wealth generating opportunity in SUFC for PA and partners to let it go the wrong way, frustrating as it is just sit tight and they will come.

I love your optimism but I’ve seen Blades have 3 out of 5 seasons in the PL and we know how poorly managed we are. Wilder did amazing. Hecky did Amazing so it’s not even down to the managers and yet here we are.

It’s nice to know teams in the third tier know how to go about their business yet we flog players off and then start working on a plan after the money has cleared.

None better than Archer. Sold a valuable 10, bought a striker who happened to be a 9. Fucked up the system in the process and still didn’t get a player to come and play the 10 we needed.
