Given he’s never been able to drag Blackburn into a competitive position despite having really good players around him, it would be a big call to suggest he’d make the difference to us.

If so, not a transfer window defining 'miss' but its another good signing for Boro that adds to my belief that they'll comfortably be top 6, and it's another good free transfer to strike from the list and if that's the market we're in then our options are reduced

Sure I have seen it reported on X (twitter) from a few accounts, maybe I have jumped the gun abit and took it as gospel that we were interested

Both players are big standard championship players. I'm not worried we haven't signed them but it would
be nice to see a couple of players come through the door.

They are doing what WBA did 2 seasons ago when they signed Swift and Wallace, 2 players we had been linked to and ones many of us would have been happy signing. We then went up and Albion didn't and they are still saddled with their,no doubt, large wages with no resale
value
