Next seasons ticket prices are out, with Coventry offering the cheapest adult tickets at £250, Middlesborough most expensive at £574 Pigs second at £560 us 4th at £513, only £47 less than pigs.
I know over the last 4-5 seasons we have commended HRH for being fair with the prices but I don't think we can give him that accolade this time.

For new ST holders. Renewal cheapest was 403 quid on the kop

As I am now 60 mine was £309. At Hillsborough they don't reduce seniors until 65. I think I would be paying almost double. So I am delighted!
I would have thought most would renew with the early offers, so the rates are much lower.
I think Utd's season ticket pricing is excellent for all ages and areas.
The Coventry one is good though, fair play to them.

Imagine thinking we have sold more than half a dozen at that price

Most fans of both clubs who get season tickets have not have paid these amounts (including me in the Corner which costs more than the Kop)

Pigs had about 8 tiers and 215 extended deadlines. The original deadline was in December so effectively they had 5 months to decide to get a season ticket at a discounted rate.

This to me is a Sheffield Wednesday Star article already preparing itself in case we average more than them (as we did last time we were in the same division)

Classy

On the subject of season tickets, why does the club make no attempt to avoid single seats being left?

e.g. in the Westfield Corner, there's approx £30k of single seats unsold. The ticket office could offer small inducements to people to shuffle along a seat or two and then these would probably sell?

I don’t know why the club bother. They’ve employed their excellent CCTV capabilities, coupled with state of the art AI, to identify the 100 people with the fattest arses in the stadium. They’ve then deliberately left the seat next to them vacant for as long as possible, to enhance everybody’s match day comfort. And all they get for their efforts is sniping....

I thought the sniper was at Shirecliffe, not in the Westfield

They wont be too bothered as come match day some of them will be sold if not all for more than a price of a season ticket/match

(As we did the last 5 times that both teams have been in the Championship).

agree its the same principle as why dont we just charge a tenner for restricted view tickets on the kop

Noticed this list of unsold seats.
South 79
BLUT Corner 65
Family Corner 43
North 242
Kop 2671
Means we have sold over 24000 ST's. Don't think this is bad after last season. A lot of the KOP seats are also restricted view.

I have a friend who wanted to buy a season ticket this year but was put off by the price on the Kop. I didn't believe him when he told me what the price was, and was very surprised myself when I checked and it was true. Given the feeling around the club at the moment, and our prospects for the season (as thing stand at the moment) they're massively overpriced in my opinion.

As I renewed my as usual, mine was much better value so I never really batted an eyelid, but I feel the club have got this wrong and it's not the way to attract new supporters. My mate isn't even a new supporter, he's had a season ticket for years, just not for the last couple of seasons. There should maybe even be a price bracket for returning customers.

If we eventually do get taken over, and if it's an American Venture Investment group , I think cheap season tickets will be a thing of the past!
Make the most of it while you can.

Agree the Sheff Wed pay massive prices headline is (like many headlines) very misleading.
The headline reports the ST price when the season starts and they quote their most expensive South stand prices.
So the report is true but hardly anyone is effected, less than 10 people will be paying £700 to sit in their South stand.

In reality when their early bird prices starts around January time you find that their Kop is about £30 more expensive than ours
but our South stand is sightly dearer than their comparable North stand. Then they have a south stand that is admittedly "rip off prices", very expensive but only people with a high income will sit in that stand, so they can afford it.

In summary at least 80% of Sheff Wed fans renew their season at the earliest opportunity. Most pay for the Kop and their North stand. The Prince has always been quite clever.....he compares their prices and like any good business man always looks to consistently slightly undercut the opposition.

Don't think that includes the BLUT (not Corner), mate.
Probably more like 20k sold?

Pigs are £5,500 / infinity for their season tickets remember! ;)

Regarding STs..

How many can we usually sell, does anyone know? 24k?

We surely must have around 20k mark usual loyals.
