If we beat Florist next weekend will it give Blades fans some redemption for an awful season

For me it will, this has been one of the most dreadful seasons I have experienced in my many years of following the Blades.

Our history, our club and its fans have been dragged through the dirt thanks to the god awful decisions made by the owner, managers, scouting team, defensive coach(es), fitness coaches and Premier league wannabe players we have employed.

The sycophantic pundits now offering us sympathy at our demise is sickening. Berating us all season, then saying they wish us well and would like to see us back soon. F*ck the lot of you. We are SUFC, one of the founders of football, one of the founders of the corrupt EPL, one of the unfashionable teams because we don't have a fancy foreign manager or multi billionaire owner.

We were robbed of promotion by Florist 3 years ago, perhaps a blessing in disguise. But it would be karma to bring them down with us, by thrashing them next week. Trouble is, I also want VK's Belgiumloanley and EPL favourites Lucky Luton to come down with us also! 🤣.

Can they relegate 4?

Anyway, I really hope we can tank Florist and pop their drug barron owner's balloon. Just one tiny bit of pleasure in this dreadful season.

Nope. Priority now is to learn stuff for next season. That necessitates not playing the strongest starting XI. Of course, I expect Wilder to play his favourites and ignore the longer term interests of the club

No.

Redemption for the play off loss if we overlook them to stay up by beating them is the only way and obviously that isn't happening

To your thread title.

PARKLIFE!

You obviously weren't around during the legendary 4th division era which was far and away much more shit than anything happening in now
Yep….for those of a certain age the 1980/81 season was truly woeful. A trip to Swindon Town away where we collapsed to lose 5-2 sticks in my mind as an epic day out. Honestly some of you younger lot have never lived if you think this is bad!

We will play well for 60 minutes.

Should be 2/3 goals up.

We will then collapse as always. Concede 3.

Some fans will blame wilder others will blame Norwood.

Some will accept we are poor and need new players.

Then repeat 2 more x this season.
A lot of my blame lies with Tom Little.

So many goals conceded in the last 15-20mins, the fitness & conditioning coach has to take at least some responsibility there

Unfortunately I can't see anything but a precious 3 points for Forest and a boost to their goal difference.
It will probably be enough to keep them up.

Relegation is a preference for the habitual premier league frequenteur
Of what is known as
(Bladeslife)
And United's defence can be avoided
If you take a route straight through the middle of what is known as
(Bladeslife)

Vini's got pointer's droop
He gets intimidated by Hallam FC Under-eight's reserve team
They love a bit of him
(Bladeslife)
Who's that Lord Norwood jogging
You should cut down on your still life mate, get some exercise

All the signings
So many signings
They all go go hand in hand
To the treatment room
Blades Life

And top-flight survival can be avoided
If you stick in central defence Rusty Trusty, as he's known as
(Bladeslife)
We concede when we want
Except to Wednesday
When we get rudely beaten in a scoreless draw
(Bladeslife)
Ivo puts his gloves on, has a cup of tea
And he thinks about letting yet another one in
(Bladeslife)
We lose to Burnley, we sometimes lose to Luton too
It gives us a sense of enormous being the worst premier league team ever
(Bladeslife)
And then we're happy for the rest of the season
Safe in the knowledge that there will always be
Our club's name top of the list of Most Goals Conceded in a Premier League Season

All the signings
So many signings
They all go go hand in hand
To the treatment room
Blades Life

Yeah that would be great, but dozy Luton have to keep their end of the bargain too.

Won't make an iota of a difference. Irrelevant anyway as over 100 mins or so they will be far superior.

I was there for that season too, dark days indeed but at least that season wasn't televised/reported around the world week in, week out in.

UTB.

Sorry guys, but i was. Since my dad took me as a little'un in the mid 60s. We have had dire times. Part of being a blade. I actually enjoyed div 4. Some great games. Away at Darlington is a lasting memory. 80/81 very poor, but we didn't lose 4,5+ goals conceded at home for several consecutive games. This season is a low point as a fan. For SUFC to capitulate so badly, so many times, is unforgivable imo. Of course, historically we are in a better league position. I'm not brilliant on stats, but I'm sure this season is our lowest ever points total per game played, most goals conceded per game and our least competitive team against our division peer group. Can you suggest any highlights in the whole season? 2 scrappy home wins, perhaps Luton away? I'm just looking for a moment of joy in a dreadful season. Football is supposed to be a form of entertainment, as well as our passion for our beloved Blades, the club, that is. Not the current staff, players and useless owner.

I’ve warmed to this idea.

Not sure I can abide another season of the media cheerleading Vincent Kompany to success.

I could enjoy Forest having a “life comes at you fast” moment and the likes of Gibbs-White giving them the heave-Ho as he heads to Newcastle.

Then somehow watching them try to Uno-reverse the hiring of 29 professionals the other year whilst at the same time trying to curry favour with those players they couldn’t wait to ditch.

“Welcome back Joe!”
“I’m good thanks”

“O’Brien, just what we need!”
“Do one!”

It might not happen but I like the notion now of a Burnley pitch invasion last day!

It would be nice but I imagine we'll probably get hammered 5 1 with their fans taking the piss all afternoon

Forest will walk all over us.

Their squad is too fast and skilfull for us. MGW, Hudson-Odoi etc. Will have a field day

Said after Arsenal game that we won't in another game this season, hope I'm wrong, obviously, but forest have some good players and seeing Gibbs-White shows us what we are missing in terms of quality
