Seems Rotherham are no longer interested...Should we have a go ?

29 goyals last time out ? Might be just what we need...

BTW, hi all, 1st post of many I hope. :p

Would be worth it, right age etc but apparently bids are in the region of £200K which rules us out straight away.

Welcome aboard :)

A striker that scores goals and will cost us money?

Erm no thanks we are better off as we are. :)

LOL outmuscled finacially by the might of Rovrum. Seems like the fee was acceptable but the player couldn't agree to the terms on offer.

Never heard of him, but 29 goals sounds impressive. Even in the Blue Square Bell's Whiskey Mickey Mouse Chilly Jocko League. Sign him up.

Yep, money, it's always our biggest hurdle. Remember the same when we wanted to buy Deano from Donny....

Sounds like he travels reyt enough. London t Scotland, still scores 29 in a season, in game's of 11 v 11...

Wierd knows what hes after though by the look of things. I Hope if he needs something like this, he is backed by he who must not be named.

Thanks for the warm welcome. o_O

Well that's a turn up for the books, according to Sky we're close to signing the lad!

Sky Sports understands Sheffield United are closing in on the signing of Falkirk striker Lyle Taylor.
Falkirk are resigned to losing Taylor this summer with a host of clubs chasing last season's First Division top goalscorer.
The 23-year-old, who has one-year to run on his Falkirk contract, scored 29 goals last season.
Rotherham had a bid accepted for Taylor earlier this week, but the former Millwall and Bournemouth turned down the move.
Hibernian have also expressed an interest in Taylor, but Sheffield United are hoping to win the race for his signature.
New Blades boss David Weir is keen to bring in a new striker and he sees Taylor as the man who can score the goals to fire their promotion bid.

Quoted for posterity... just in case.

(and to get in the "this means someone is being sold" before MB does...)

He fits in with our new squad profile.

Will he do the business down here?

Lyle ? What the fuck sort of name is that ? Febian and lyle up front leading the line sounds like a west end musical

They'll be signing players with names like Thierry and Lionel next, what is the world coming to?

I always come on here for player recommendations. Far better standard of rumour than that juvenile TILD site.

Many thanks Jackal. I think I'll have a wee nibble at this lad.

DW.

sounds positive if we can get him, looks quick, scores goals

More encouraging is the news that Cresswell could be on his way, good luck to the guy if so as it was certainly not his fault that he received a ludicrous contract for someone of his age. The savings on wages alone should allow us to bring in a decent replacement or maybe two.
