Yes a highlight from this season. Well 3 actually!
Amidst all the doom and gloom, during the last few weeks of the season there was a couple of great moments.
When the 2nd goal went in at Boundary park. A classic euphoria/relief moment as the Blades fans went banana's.
And a few hundred more at Tranmere just before half time on the concourse. Blades fans trying to get a head start on half time beers missed the goal but more than made up for it in the celebration.

Earlier on in the season as well the late equaliser at Donny was a good un' :)

I missed all those!

My highlight would be the Swindon game when we showed a cup tie spirit and had more shots in the first half than I'd seen in the previous half dozen games. Sadly I knew that it wasn't possible to play like that for several games in a row.

I also enjoyed the madness of the Brentford game.

going top at xmas, our latest false dawn , the 3-0 win over scunny was our highspot, but in hindsight cost us most as we lost Miller , our only bit of pace

I would add the celebrations after we equalised at Scunthorpe with 9 men as another highlight.

Can't comment on Boundary Park - wasn't there but a deflected goal [Tranmere] and 80 minutes of shite [Donny] just about sums up the season.

How long does the DVD run for?

No apostrophe needed in bananas.

(Just keeping my hand in - as the gynaecologist said to the patient)

Brentford away was a top day, pretty sure we learnt 8 new songs and met Chris from Eggheads.

Being the only person in the kop celebrating Harry's 93rd minute goal in the 3-2 home defeat to Hartlepool because I had money on him to score last at 18-1.

Every time Harry touched the ball.

Highlight for me:

The four hours in the Magpie & Crown, Brentford town centre with fellow Blades (you know who you are gentlemen). The team got battered on the pitch earlier that day but boy, did we fuckin muller their lot at drinking and singing afterwards. A truly magnificent evening and one consolation of the play off shenanighans, is that we can hopefully do it all again next season. "I'm a rambler, i'm a rambler........"

On the pitch, for me, it was without doubt the away win and performance at Bournemouth in February. Tactics absolutely spot on and three fully deserved points against a team who were giving it the "I'm Billy Big Bollocks" treatment. Still trying to fathom how we managed to fuck it all up after that.
Scunny and Crawley away deserve a mention, as do the home games v Bournemouth, Stevenage and Swindon.

Roll on August.

Except for the result and the first half performance, you're spot on. Are you going to bring Adelaide Blade along again next year?! :D

I'll be there again but this time I won't be jetlagged beyond belief. What a ridiculous decision it was to fly in early from Australia to get to Griffin Park.

Reckon that was the game that really changed our season? Failure to fill Millers boots in the transfer window?

Adelaide Blade has already been informed that Brentford didnt get promoted and that particular trip will be done again! She's keen.

Also looks like we could be doing some of Leyton Orient, MK Dons, Crawley, Stevenage, Peterbrough and Gillingham. Get ready Blackheath Blade Highbury_Blade SwissBlade (if you're not lost on the other side of the world) and Balham Blade

Hopefully we can make it to Brentford again, but I'm sure that we'll make one of the southern away games during my leave :)

My own personal highlights of the season included taking my 3 year old son to his first few United matches, and then the away trips to Leyton Orient, Bournemouth and my favourite, a 400 mile round trip to Crawley in the middle of winter just before Christmas and seeing a cracking 2-0 win in the pouring rain.

The rest of it was a bit bobar though.

He won't do that. It's too much like generating false power.

The continued supremacy of 163 in overcoming in a gentlemenly and sporting manner which ever set of fouling, diving, cheating and moaning opponents turned up.

took a while for 163 to sink in as a formation , first thought it was akin to 300 spartans

Personal highlights:

1. Miller's goals against Port Vale in the Cup

2. A nice pre-match meal at Tranmere at the Italian restaurant behind the away end

3. Falling asleep and missing the 2nd leg of the playoff semi.

That's it.

I did the 3rd one.. Damn you bank holiday alcohol fuelled weekends!

Highlight of my season..

The Brentford vs. Doncaster finale. Absolutely quality, up there with Aguero last season.

Then for Brentford to "do a United" and fuck up the final too, that was great!

P.S. I have nothing against Brentford, it's just nice to know it's not just us
