Doesn’t make it a fact, just opinions we’ve all got them. My opinion is he is good enough to play in this league, he may not have set it alight and clearly had his head turned but if you watch him and think ability wise he is not upto standard then we will have to agree to disagree.

My guess is that we’ve inflated our wage structure beyond what’s sustainable long term, and it takes longer for players to greatly reduce their expectations, hence deals taking far longer or not getting done.

It’s all about opinions obviously, but I’m really surprised that anyone’s failed to notice the way he’s outmuscled almost every week.

I don’t think he’s physically up to the modern premier league. If he can overcome that is debatable, but so far no other premier league club seems to think so either.

Do partly agree with this, particularly when he's up against a big CF. His best games for us this season have come when he's played centrally in a 3 - I think that gives him the opportunity to play as the 'spare' man more often and allows him to read the game which is one of his better qualities. He isn't physically imposing enough to dominate many forwards at this level. He does have other good physical attributes though - namely a change of pace and an ability to make excellent block tackles.

I’m genuinely surprised how sanguine some posters are given the state of the squad, the rebuild needed and our lack of tools to do it. All the evidence and context points to the club not being equipped nor resourced to do a big squad rebuild.

I think given only one player who will have a demonstrable impact on our fortunes next has renewed (Brooks), that’s sufficient to indicate that our current efforts aren’t enough or aren’t working. That’s a reasonable position.

Ignore - I think you’ve answered above. Concerning, I’d agree. But not disastrous, as I expect the key players will sign. We need to clear some out too.
