better the devil you know,im sure chansiri said he wants 200+million when pigs in league one or maybe championship 30 mill more for wednesday i know who id rather have.
Who mentioned Wednesday? When did they come into it at all? They are in irrelevance and have been for a long time. Enjoy it. The days of comparing ourselves to them should be long gone.

blades fans "we just want to hear from the prince keep us updated"

"hes a bullshiter" damned if he does damned if he dunt
would some of you PA haters prefer it if he just made statements like chansiri and not actual interviews

Chansiri does host one of those insane nights with the fans at least once a year in fairness. Usually go on for about 6 hours and end with him telling them to fuck off.

They're only not relevant if you don't live in Sheffield and as bad as they may be, they're only in the league below and could very well be playing us next season. Yes we're better than them but we should be out of sight given the fact we've played in the premier league with all it's richest for three of the last five years but recruitment has been mixed at best over that period and we've not, yet, invested enough into the infrastructure either.

Irrespective, we'll always compare ourselves to them and vice versa, both want to be the best side and whilst we've achieved that we should be far more ahead of them.

Personally I think we'll be playing then next season and we'll be in a major rebuild with zero budget. That spells a tricky season. They could easily be mid table and so could we.

A good friend of mine has told me about the time they had to move some upstairs into the stand as there were too many in the gym for safety regs..

So somebody upstairs tweets in and calls chansiri a bell end or something similar, which of course it's a word he'd never heard before, so chansiri and the interpreter sit quietly chatting and a hush in the gym becomes a giggle as they watch on screen his face starts to change realising what he's been called, then he stands up and challenges the bloke to say it to his face, chancer not knowing he's upstairs in the stand.

So bloke comes downstairs, gets escorted in where he goes and says it to his face, going on to explain why he thinks he's a bell end, then a slanging match between them ensued, everybody in the room was pissing themselves laughing as chansiri went mental at the fan ...

Lots of talk of signing the likes of Hamer, Souza et al with the next four years in mind - then in the next breath admitting we may need to sell them to balance the books. Personally don't mind us having to sell one or two but let's not dress it up as something else.

Also talks at length about the '£40m' he put in and won't see again. Conveniently forgetting he stands to profit, even at a modest sale price, due to the acquisition of the infrastructure at what was considered a very good price due to the court ruling.

It's a strange interview at times.

Not listened yet but it was the shares that were a “good price”. The ground etc CCD etc were at agreed market value.

That was true, and it will continue to be true if we manage to stop up.

If not, then everything resets. Future earnings have been loaned against, so stopping up helps us no end and will get us levelled out, going down means we are in a firesale and hope to get good free's in and do not go into freefall.

Any potential new owners will pick us up on the cheap if we get relegated, I'm thinking a Mike Ashley type of person. The Prince will do little better than breaking even, which is not what he wanted after the master stroke of chess playing against McCabe which saw him come out on top.

Waffle waffle and more waffle. He is a good speaker, I will give him that. He shifts the emphasis as good as any MP. He flaps his chops and turns on the charm again.

The number one question should be “why have you valued the club between £150 and £170 million pounds?”

Never mind the flip flopping, waffle about safeguarding the longterm interests blah blah blah.

When is he going to actually going to put a realistic price on the club then leave?
Doesn't he directly answer your number one question quite early on?

In fairness to Jimmy and Abdullah the part 1 is fairly good and honest. Abdullah is not trying to dress it up and Jimmy is not cringey in his questions and attitude towards him.

Frustrating that he’s going over old ground with Ndiaye and Berge, we’ve all been told what happened and it’s a case of whether we believe the club acted early enough or not (I don’t think we did).

Look forward to part 2.

Well he could've just let McCabe take everything at a substantial loss to himself (the prince) or stand up to him which he did and was the right thing to do. He has since gambled his money and health on getting United back into the Prem which again he has done and stuck by the manger who got us there. 2 of our better players Ndiaye (for real) and Berge (in our imaginations) rubber dicked us by running their contracts down; one amongst a myriad of things that is contributing to our downfall but I'm using that one thing as an example that it is not solely the prince responsible for our current plight.
In short, I can still stick up for him.
Exactly the way the Prince became the owner is down to one bloke Kevin McCabe, no one forced him to try to rob the Prince. Fortunately the Prince had a wiser legal team otherwise we would be stuck with McCabe renting the ground we don't own and making redundancies due to the club being in League One at best.

And he'd have gotten away with it as well if it wasn't for that pesky Carl Leighton.

Acted early enough? We offered them new deals relentlessly since our last relegation.

I don't know where this magic gun comes from that we hold to a players head to get them to sign.

Sanitised, pre-agreed, scripted shite. Prince isn’t dumb. Rimmy just happy for the clout.

Yusuf managed that in about 6 minutes at the famous Slav Out presser, tbf—so at least we’re still better than them at that.

There were better questions than I expected him to ask.

That said I notice their was a fair bit of editing done in the video.

I don’t begrudge. But it’s always the Prince’s terms. Same approach he uses with TalkSport.

It’s a bit futile, other than it appeases those who need constant reassurance and clarity.

If you believe the club line. I don’t think we offered Ndiaye enough until it was too late.

Prince fuck off !! And take the shower of shit board with you.

In the truest sense of the word then no.

But if you have a mortgage on your house do you tick ‘homeowner’ or just tell people the bank owns your house?
In the truest sense of the word, yes.
Lots of sticks to beat the owner with, this isn’t one of them. He’s brought all the assets together which is important for the future stability of the club.

I thought it was a pretty good interview to be fair, he's honest and he tells us how it is even if it's not exactly what we want to hear. We've had the some of the best years we've had under him and we should probably be a little more grateful than we are.

This is the confirmation bias kicking in as someone who sits on the kop, the bit he added about being able to resolve the issues with McCabe re the land at the back of the kop struck a bit of a cord with me. He gave a good explanation re why infrastructure had stalled, looks like there's some good progress happening and he's got an eye on the next stage of infrastructure development, which seems to be the kop.
At least there will be something tangible to show from the current premier league income, unlike previously when it went on largely unsuccessful signings. Given the tight finances and current league position, using the available TV revenue to improve the infrastructure seems the way forward to me.

PA’s comment on Cat 1 status being obtained is also encouraging. It seems pretty fundamental to becoming self sufficient. I had heard progress is being made on securing a new site for the first team training ground. Hopefully further details on the infrastructure will come to light shortly although it would have been good if he could have elaborated further during the interview.

If I have a mortgage on my house I pay the mortgage payments.

The mortgage on the ground is paid by the club. That’s the fundamental difference

He owns the club, so it’s ultimately his money. This is a legal fact.

I’m not sure if you know how businesses work, without wanting to be patronising there are a lot of businesses with mortgages and loans. The owners use the cash flows of the business to pay off these loans and mortgages. The owners still own the businesses, they just have debt secured against the assets of the business. They may also have personal guarantees against the loans on top of this security.

Are you saying that every single business owner who has a mortgage and pays it from company proceeds instead of their own personal bank account isn’t paying the debt themselves and therefore is some kind of lesser individual in your eyes?!

Maybe follow the thread of replies before making assumptions about my level of knowledge regarding businesses?
The point was that he (personally) stands to profit from the sale of a club that has its real estate attached. That wasn’t his choice to do, it was court ordered. And the club has paid for it.
No issue with it per se but with your extensive business knowledge surely you can’t deny he will do well out of the deal if/when he sells…
