I must have been.......... The lady in my life is a Leona Lewis fan. No thats not why I was born under a lucky star.
But on seeing she was coming to the City Hall, 4 months ago I got us tickets. (Im not a fan of her, but I need brownie points) And it just happens to be this Friday night!!!!

So I now have a perfect excuse for not going on friday night.

So my conscience is now clear.
No play off semi and no Play off final

what excuses have others got? lets call it play off not going poker

who can raise me Leona Lewis?

first sentance should read 'i must have been born under a lucky star'

im confused. do the brownie points have anything to do with where you want to poker on friday night?

I was going to give it a miss because I'll be working on the Sunday night into the Monday morning, and then that Monday night too, but then I decided I'm a bit bored with life and need an adventure, so to hell with sleep and common sense - I WILL do Yeovil away, and what's more, I'll be risking all by dusting off the old thumb.

I'm sending Ken jnr as my proxy (well he tells me he is going)
I am too bruised to give a toss at the moment, which is why I never look at this forum more than three or four times a day :o

To be fair - I think we will dominate the home leg but still struggle to score no goals.

Still wont make the trip to Wembley this time if we get there.
Seen too many minutes of goalless football in big matches to get the slightest bit excited about yet another episode of "spot the ball in the opposition penalty area"

Shit team - great fans

I'm just not shelling out to be that miserable again when I can do that at home watching us fuck up again - for me it will be the first time I have seen us do this on Sky.

Makes you wonder how many actually will be there. I'm leaving Sheffield on Friday morning to get the hell back North. I'll come back when both the disappointment and dust have settled.

I pray we do see a different team and we hump them 4-0 but you just cant see it can you?

I'm off fishing down my syndicate for 3 nights from Friday, will listen to the first leg on the Wireless, (if any stations are actually broadcasting it) whilst I sup a beer, cook myself a Jalfrezi and wait for that big 40lb Mirror to pick up my hookbait.

Will be back for Monday and will probably watch the second leg on the TV, depending how the first leg goes.....I'm well and truly sick of everything SUFC at the moment, got absolutely no enthusiasm for them whatsoever......MEH..!

pray tell me the last time you went to bramall lane expecting a 4-0 win , ,thing is you never know when a team will click
I dont recall going to the lane thinking well beat ipswich 7-0 today , or well tonk spurs 6-0

they happen all too infrequently , but not just us for every team its normally 1-0 2-1 and 1-0 might do

BTL, what I expect is a turgid 0-0 at home followed by a 1-0 or 2-0 to them away. But I remember going to the Forest play off semi (and thank you Warnock for that by the way) and you could sense something in the air. Even at 2-0 down you didn't feel we were beat. Times are so different, not because of expectation but because the club is being run into the ground.

I may or may not go or I may forget.

Last week I forgot we were playing Crewe.

This is someone who used to have our fixtures pinned up on the wall every season. Its rather sad that I love lost some much faith in United really.

Not goingoto the semis and as for the final , free ticket travel and the oppositions entire 1st team squad contracting ebola virus the week before wouldbt get me to wembley again

I'll be at Wembley if we get there..

I'm not going to miss the chance of being there when United actually score at Wembley. Never mind winning, actually just scoring would be one of those epochal moments in life that you'd want to be able to tell your grand kids that 'I was there'.

Were you too young for Alan Cork and 1993? I was there and would love to tell my grandkids about it. However, if they are anything like my kids, they won't be the slightest bit interested.....

I can probably find something to do on Friday involving a goat and a tub of lard.

I'm going Camping in Herefordshire this weekend. I doubt very much that I'd have gone to the semi anyway.

For the Final, I might go. I nearly went last year when there were tickets avaialble on the day. I imagine the same may be true this year whoever gets there. Me missing the last 2 trips to Wembley certainly hasn`t made any difference to our luck...

A very greasy curry?
